Canes @ Habs 7:30 PM 2/18.

I hate this many days off..

Will Gleason play?

Will our best defensmen get over his psychotic break and play?

Will Chad find his smile?

This and more when the Canes meet the Habs!!

I think Gleason's back, I'm not sure about Pits. TBH I liked Jordan in the lineup, making the first pass and otherwise not getting noticed is much welcomed in this D lineup, and that's exactly what he did. We're in a unique situation right now in that the D worked well enough last night that I would take every precaution as far as bringing Jokel and Gleason back.

With 5 days off against a team that's right up there with us in the standings, not only is this a game we SHOULD win but it's a game that would be REALLY useful to win.

That being said I think the momentum of the win streak will fade a little with these days off. The rest will be nice, but I've just got that feeling that we'll be caught napping.

Poor Habs. With all their history they have to play host to a garbage franchise like us.

I forgot boring. If I were the Habs I'd just forfeit in protest. No game would be more entertaining than having to play the 'Canes. At least the Hurricanes will know what it's like to play before a sold out crowd as opposed to the half-empty PNC Arena.

Of course you are. Well here, feast your eyes on this indecency!

The nerve of those two to go out in public like that. Storm Squad? More like Skank Squad! I can almost practically see the bottom edge of her navel. At least they have the decency to send her out in public with a male escort to keep her in check. Or maybe that's her pimp! According to the photo they were out at something called "Special Olympics for North Carolina." I'm sure they have a pole dance competition there for these harlots!

I don't know about you guys, but I love the Whoreacanes. They keep me entertained while those little league kids play in between the sumo matches and ice bowling.

Can anyone honestly say though that the last game against the Leafs wasn't boring for a good portion of it? The entire first was a snooze fest. Yes, some of that is on the Leafs, but a lot of it is how the Canes played in order to protect the defense. 1 forward high at all times, not taking many chances, dump the puck in..keep 1 forward high and forecheck.

I'm not blaming the Canes at all and I'd rather play sound defensive hockey and win games. It was a good game plan given how they needed to protect the defense, but there were some very boring stretches.

I don't mind boring as long as the Canes win.

I also think they'll be more aggressive when and if they get their two best defensemen back.

Cole and Kaberle combine for 4 goals. All on the PP. Habs win 5-4 after Muller mistakenly pulls Ward with 1 min left in a 4-4 game.

There were jokes after the STH cookout that the team seems to be in on all of the board memes, as though they're reading this forum.

I think it's time for Canes payroll employees to finally out themselves.

I'm planning a trip to Montreal in May with some friends. As much fun as the city is, it's even more fun if the Canadiens are in the playoffs. And of course, I can't even comprehend how cool it would be if the Canes were still around. This would probably be around Eastern Conference Semifinals time. I'm trying not to think about it, but a Canes OT win would be cool. I'd rather see Montreal in the playoffs than some other teams anyhow.

I'd think it was boring if I were a Toronto fan.

Toronto had no offensive zone time, and couldn't get the puck out of their own zone. Watching the other team play the entire game in your defensive zone would stink. Who wants to see their team get forechecked into submission?

As for the first, most of the firsts have been a bit boring. We have 6 goals in 1st periods (25th). 18 in 2nds (1st), 16 in 3rds (2nd). Not sure what's up with that.

It means the longer the game goes the stronger the Canes get? Just like Greg "The Hammer" Valentine!

It's a shame that such a beloved former Hab like Kirk Muller is coaching such a garbage franchise like ours.

You guys are missing the point. We need the ice ***** cause our team is so bad. We play the most boring uninspired hockey in the league. We also can't make good ice, cause we play in a tropical paradise full of palm trees and tiki bars that hasn't seen snow since the last ice age.

I mean, that's the whole reason I chose a college in the State, cause I hate snow and cold and wanted to live in a State where it's 100 degrees every day and I could walk to class in a Tommy Bahama shirt and flip flops.

The Whoreacanes are a nessecity cause scantily clad teenagers are the only reason people go out to the games. Can you think of a more offensive thing? I mean, sweet innocent young girls being forced to wear turtlenecks and ankle length pants? But hey, times are tough, so if that's what they gotta do to afford college or whatever, I feel bad for them. If they volunteered or something it might be a bit better, but we all know they're forced into it. JR knows the only people who go to our games are transplants from Buffalo who came here for the same reasons I did. And New Yorkers like the Drawl.

Joni and Gleason won't make the trip to MTL per Muller

I would expect the same defensive system to be played now.

I wonder what kind of injuries they really have. They were both reported having lower body concerns which basically means anything below neck.
