So what's going to go on when the Sabres season is over? Ruhedel, Psysk, Pardy.... who can go down to AHL without waivers. Can Flynn go down? Will Grig play? What's going on haha.

Any ideas?

Ruhwedel is not eligible for the AHL playoffs. Pysyk, Flynn, and (I think) Pardy are all eligible. Grigorenko should be able to play as well, but having not played a single game for Rochester this year, I doubt he gets put in the line-up unless someone else gets injured.

Pardy is not eligible. Darcy, in his infinite wisdom, left him off the Amerks playoff roster. Flynn and Pysyk will come down. Hopefully Grigorenko.

Amerks with an insurance goal by Phil Varone with a couple of minutes left - Amerks lead 3-1. Catenacci (with his third point in the last two games) and Rankin with the assists. Bulldogs pull their goalie seconds later and Roy scores an empty netter to wrap things up. Adam with his second assist of the game. Amerks lead 4-1. Bulldogs put the goalie back in.

Amerks win 4-1 - will finish in sixth or seventh place - Oklahoma City loses to Houston in regulation - they finish sixth and play Grand Rapids. Oklahoma City wins in regulation or the game goes overtime/shootout - they will finish seventh and play Toronto.

Amerks really need Houston to beat OKC in regulation. Then they'll play Grand Rapids, who the Amerks actually have more wins than. Toronto is just a bad match up, will get swept.

I was away from the computer so I missed it hearing what happened. Based on the penalties - looks like Adam slashed Beaulieu who didn't like it and he went after Adam. According to Kevin O - Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - #Amerks Luke Adam in a fight with #Bulldogs D-man Nathan Beaulieu. Adam didn't win.

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - Zack Stortini got in a fight as the final buzzer sounded with #Amerks newcomer Jason Beattie.
Niagara product with 1st pro assist, and 1st fight.

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - Veteran right winger Mark Mancari was the only #Amerks player to appear in all 76 games.
22-39-61 to lead team in scoring.

Update - Oklahoma City and Houston 0-0 - end of the first period. Josh Harding who is on a conditioning assignment from the Minnesota Wild is in net for Houston - 14 saves so far. (Opps! I posted the wrong start time earlier. I thought it was 5:05 CT start which means 6:05 pm ET - guess it was 5:05 ET - 4:05 CT.)

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - Tony Rajala gives OKC a 1-0 lead over Houston. 6:11 into 2nd period.

Kevin O thinks the first playoff game, whether it's against Toronto or GR, will be Saturday. Big news as the Amerks will then get Pysyk, Grigorenko and Flynn for the entire series.

Adam didn't throw a single punch (despite very much wanting the fight), ate a few glancing right hands, and went down. Not a great showing. About as ineffective as most of his play these days.

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - Goalie Niko Hovinen with point-blank PP save on Chad Rau to keep the OKC Barons ahead of Aeros 1-0.

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - And 40 seconds later, the Barons score SH. There is a discussion among the officials after the goal, however.

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - Chris VandeVelde scored the SHG for the OKC Barons at 16:13.

Looking like a Rochester-Toronto first round series.

Its now at the end of two periods - Oklahoma City still leads 2-0. Barons out-shooting Aeros 25-10.

2-0 OKC. Looking like Toronto. That sucks. They'll probably sweep the Amerks.

One would hope that they'd finally show some spine and be sick of getting their ***** kicked by Toronto.

I believe they've lost 14 of their last 15 games against Toronto. Pretty sad.

Lost nine of ten this year, plus last year's sweep, makes it at least 12 of 13.

Obligatory "Zigomanis" post here. Hurt the rosters of the teams you have to compete against most.

Goalie change at the start of the third period didn't spark Houston as Oklahoma City still leads 2-0 - 6 minutes left in the third period. Get the passports ready, Amerks are going to Toronto next weekend.

Final Score - Oklahoma City 3 Houston 0 - Barons add an empty netter in the final minute. Rochester finishes in seventh place and faces second seeded Toronto in the opening round of the playoffs. Game #1 will be either Thursday, Friday or Saturday in Toronto with Kevin O thinking Saturday. Crud!

It's definitely the Marlies now, as OKC scores an ENG to make it 3-0. ****!

If I'm being optimistic, I'll give the Amerks one win in this series. Can't see anything more than that. More than likely a sweep.

Why does the title read Catenacci on an ATO? Doesn't this count as his contract but will just slide until next year since he isn't going to play 5 NHL games.

That win will have to be a game one win for them to win the series IMO. Maybe a come from behind win - trailing by a goal after two periods - will break the stanglehold the Marlies have on us?

Hopefully there is TV coverage of the games like there was last season. Rather watch than listen to the games. Go Amerks!

The series last year was on TV. A local bar usually has a get together for the game. Think it was The Distillery last year.
