I wonder if since their is a Pens scout at every game if he just stops by Fletchers suite after one of these games and pokes his head in and says "how about now?"
Hefty cap hit at 4 million for what he may or may not bring to the table
Soon to be an Unrestricted Free Agent
Lots and lots of concussion issues
Quite frankly I'd be surprised if we could get anything for him at all. Any team that trades for him is going to be taking a big risk.
^This.
I'm thinking that Bouchard could be had by any team for next to nothing. My bet is that Fletcher values that roster spot much more than he values Bouchard (as a player). He, and his one way contract, are an albatross hanging around the neck of this franchise right now.

Butch just has not been the same player since the big concussion...Its sad because before that, he was on the verge of being one of the better playmakers in the league.
Expiring contract means he'd be a perfect deadline trade. He might not have star power but for a team that needs skill, he'd bring it. I mean, could you imagine him on the Bruins or Pens or Canucks or Sharks?

I disagree...where has he shown this skill lately? He's AWFUL on the PP...he's been fumbling the puck and hasn't been generating ANY offense whatsoever. He's a supposed "playmaker" and is sitting on only 2 assists so far this season.
My hope is that some other team feels like he could contribute and take him off hour hands, but I'm doubtful. I think we'll be stuck with him the rest of the season.

PMB will have to fit their style of play. He wouldn't fit in on the Bruins or the Pens. They play too physical for him to survive or avoid injury. Could you imagine him on the Pens in the playoffs against the Flyers or Bruins? They'd rip him apart.
Generally, which defenseman would most likely to be moved as a throw-in if the Wild were to be acquiring a D from the Pens and the main piece coming from the Wild is a winger?

I could see Shero being interested in acquiring him as a project similar to when he acquired Matt Niskanen from Dallas in the Neal/Goligoski deal. It worked out for him and its weird that Scandella is of the same age Niskanen was when the pens acquired him.
I like the fact that he can be sent down without being exposed to waivers. Gives them flexibility should it happen. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.

You are correct...although I'm not sure for how long he can be protected from the waiver wire.

Probably only this year. Looks like there's definite interest from the Pens given how many games they've scouted and who's been following your team from their end.
Can't be Clutterbuck since he didn't play yesterday nor is it Scandella (however he could be involved in the package). I'd put my $$ on Seto, Heatley, Cullen or PMB. Probably Seto
PMB could still be a very good player in the right situation. Not sure he fits on the Wild though. Pair him with a big legit sniper and a top center and he'd thrive with his passing skills.

I'd be surprised if it were Cullen as he has a no trade clause and seems pretty content to play out the year in Minnesota.
(cullen) if you were retiring soon and had an opportunity to go out a winner wouldnt that be a little appealing? if OTT or MTL starts to have injury problems pmb could be a low cost (maybe 2nd pick) option to fill a roster spot for a team trying to make the playoffs.
Not a chance in hell Coyle gets moved, especially for that.
Yep, I'm a huge fan of Määttä but even I wouldn't do that.
I don't see any realistic scenario in which we'd move Coyle this year. Other guys mentioned (Seto, PMB, etc.) however... If we could get even a mid level pick for Bouchard I'd trade him. He won't stick with us after this season and I'd rather let our youngsters compete for his current position.
I wonder if there is a trade to be made with Buffalo, reading their boards it looks like they are expected to be selling the house at the deadline. Just not sure if their is anyone there that could really help the Wild outside of Vanek who is A) 29 already and B) has a 7.1 Mil cap hit and we don't really need to put all that money on the books. We already have two of those types of contracts with Parise/Suter.

How about something centered around Stafford and Seto? A swap of two inconsistent, struggling wingers? Value is probably a bit off, could be balanced with picks/prospects.
I've always liked Robyn Regehr but from what I've read here it seems his play has really declined. Wouldn't still mind him mentoring our young blueliners, provided that he could be had for a reasonable price and he'd be willing to leave Buffalo (he has an NTC or NMC, right?)
