Not bad on computer performance. It's kind of fun to see how far SoC's have come. But only us nerds really care about these kinds of numbers, sadly. People like $2 games better than $60 AAA experiences.

Well, ATT had a lot of trouble with their pre-order website. Wouldn't let me choose a voice plan for about an hour, even working with a chat rep who tried to fix it. I almost had it, but it wasn't deducting the HDMI Adapter ($90 retail).

But......., The 64GB Silver is ordered and ships on the 16th

At a glance this new facebook UI/app seems a lot like what htc is doing with blinkfeed. Except BF seems to be infinitely better/more useful.

I just watched the Facebook phone/home commercial

My favorite part is the bit where, after repeatedly showing people whipping out their phones in the middle of crowded dinner parties and even when lying in bed with someone, the voice over tries to tell us we mostly use our phones to connect with the people we care about. Without even a shred of irony.

Looks like it's either the GS4 for me (meh) or waiting for the X-Phone with HTC's douchey **** up thing with AT&T.

just a heads up, i tried ordering the HTC one developer edition this morning. It looked good, got my confirmation and already had a buddy's address in the US.

Couple hours later, they cancelled my order saying they were unable to verify my canadian CC. i called but nothing doing.

If someone knows how to bypass this, let me know. thanks

Get your friend with the american mailing address to buy it, then send them the money. Otherwise, maybe look into using paypal as an option.

It's not, they just allowed the tablet to make calls. I don't think they expect people to use it as a phone.

I had some hands on time with the Note 8.0 (Wi-Fi)

North America will probably not be getting the version with cellular capabilities.

So why would anyone buy it if you had to have two voice plans? I'm pretty sure they are intending this to replace your phone and have a tablet and phone in one.

I couldn't imagine anyone buying it if they were required to have an additional voice plan, I know I wouldn't. But there might be ways to incorporate things like this into existing plans depending on where you are. I didn't really think about that, I just figured there'd be some sort of work-around since I wouldn't expect anyone to get an additional plan for their tablet. It just seemed to be a convenient feature. If you're on the couch or in bed and you aren't next to your phone (which is probably no one lol), no big deal since your tablet can handle it. I would also expect a device like this to be a speaker phone, rather than one you'd hold up to your head.

This device isn't nearly as ridiculous as samsungs galaxy camera. I understand the concept, of being able to share photos as soon as you take them. But the idea of having to get a data plan for your camera was absurd to me.

I don't see how you could get around having another voice plan. That's why I really did laugh out loud when I first saw this thing.

Anandtech's review of the HTC One. From reading the comments on ******, it seems like this is the review to read. It was also mentioned that they gave this phone the highest honors out of every phone they have ever reviewed, got an editors choice gold award, which has not been given out before.

http://anandtech.com/show/6747/htc-one-review

Definitely interested in reading their GS4 review when it comes out.

I was just going to post this.

Brian Klug really out did himself with this review. It's covers basically every nook and cranny of this phone.
