Agree, games like that are rarely well played...remember when we were all laughing at the Colorado/Nashville game not too long ago? Usually sloppy defense, bad goaltending and bad refs all contribute to such a result.

As @NYP_Brooksie reported, can confirm the NHL has told the NHLPA to expect Revenues of $2.4 Billion in this shorten season.
Not bad at all, especially with salaries being so much lower this year.

Patrick Kane is one lazy player .... all offense, no backcheck or defense.

That drives me crazy! He's just like Gaborik, except at least Kane is good on breakaways.

Kane scores with two minutes left to tie it up. Detroit is starting to choke. Would hate for them to be the ones to stop the streak.

The Wild will have to "UP" their game about 500% in order to have a chance at beating the Hawks. They are playing so well, and so exciting to watch. Gotta love that offensive talent and aggression they have.

The Wild don't need to up it THAT much...just a but more from when they took them in the Shootout. They've already shown they can at least be their match in that game.

I'm not sure if I would refer to him as "lazy"...I would say that he performs his role very efficiently, and as long as he continues to produce, I don't think you'll hear anyone associated with the Blackhawks (coaching staff and fans, alike) complain one bit.

Yes. And this is why I don't like him at all, that and he's just a *********.

Whenever people compare him to other players around the same caliber, such as Parise, they generally seem to neglect to mention that he is a selfish player, gifted yes, but selfish. If it were not for the competence of some of his teammates, he would not be able to get away with half the stuff he does.

Just realized the Wild once had Zbynek Michalek but traded him away.

I've thought about that too, I had totally forgotten who they traded him for though.

I got heavily criticized for lamblasting the trade at the time.

Nash nearly scored in the own net on OT. Guess what song starts playing during replays.

Honestly though that Red Wings-Blackhawks game was truly fantastic, best game of the year thus far. Up and down action, and the goaltending, talent and effort was ridiculous on both sides. Everything about what makes hockey great. With Calgary beating Vancouver tonight that capped off a perfect day of hockey!

Burns already injured and now Havlat injured too. Guess we're getting the better end of both those trades, at least this season anyway.

Loving the Nucks' PGT thread, titled "I </3 Cam Barker".

Quote:
Barker was a total disaster outside of his assist on a great play by Hansen (had little to do with Barker, really). Soft, slow, poor gap control, poor positioning and poor at moving the puck up the ice. Consistently left his guys unmarked and didn't read the play. When he was on the ice the Canucks were guaranteed to face a scoring chance or two.
Quote:
Barker is just as awful as I expected. He just cannot skate, and because of that backs off like crazy and concedes the blueline. He needs to be ditched on waivers tomorrow, he is not NHL calibre.
Quote:
I was watching Barker carefully tonight, and I have no idea why the hell we signed him. He has absolutely no head for the game. None. He looks utterly lost in any situation beyond shooting the puck.

That was DR so its at least explainable, GMCF did the Leddy trade and we just hold him to a higher standards which is why it hurts.

Can anyone come up with a valid argument for why the SE division isn't the worst in the league?

Because the Oilers tank, the Wild are boring, Vancouver is overrated, and people forget Colorado exists.

Duh.

The best part about this post is the Flames aren't mentioned
