Love Nick Johnson for the Wild. Wouldn't mind having him back. Amazing 3rd/4th liner similiar to Mitchell in the fact that they just seem to have good shift after good shift and make good simple hockey plays.
Anyways...the awkward moment when you realize Crosby might lead the league in points this year with just his assist totals only. 35 assists already. Only 3 other players have more than 35 POINTS. WOW
You won't be getting him for the very reason you stated, we already have a better version of him in Mitchell. Loving Mitchell on that 4th line.
From what it sounds like, Gabby isn't using his legs anymore or his shot. Without his two best weapons, he's not worth it. The tie breaker between the two would simply be injuries.
Yeah I haven't even checked on him lately but how is Burns doing back at the forward position? He'd make a hell of a power forward if he could transition nicely.
I loved one of the latest posts about how we're gonna be a classic one-line team in less than a year due to the new cap and our hefty contracts.
He's an Oil fan, what do you expect? Now he's trying to tell us that we should enjoy our players while they're on their ELCs. Pretty ironic if you ask me.

Great response. I think people are overestimating our cap problems.
I was going to put this before the Mod starting Modding...

CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $63,681,784; BONUSES: $625,000
CAP SPACE (21-man roster): $1,243,216
I even conceded giving Clutterbuck $3m, Cullen getting his same $3.5 and Backstrom getting $4m (something far more likely for a 36 year old goalie than the $5.5m he was spewing). As you can see, I did not include a Heatley buyout either.
And the following year, $14.5m comes off the books (assuming Cullen and Backstrom aren't on 1 year deals, in which case that number goes up to $22m).
But yeah, apparently Stoner's "hefty raise" is going to doom us.
