Yeah and we also used to get beat by severely depleted teams and still roll over and die, nice to see the team come together the way they did and rally. Taylor Hall sparks this team and looks to be a good, future ambassador to the game, he must be captain, the time of having 3rd or 4th line captains must come to a end.

Gotta mention as well that its 3-0, Gagner wins the faceoff on the PP, then deftly tips the puck over to Hemsky for our first goal. I saw that right away. Took the NHL 3 periods to make the correction.
Also Gagner with the brilliant play on the tying goal.
Yeaah that was a great pp shift from Gags, 2p in pp! so tonight lets enjoy the victory and forget the ugly!

The elbow could probably have been called a roughing penalty as well, the first one was a bad call.

Yup we saw the good and the bad of Gagner tonight.

Too bad we don't play the AV's more often. Never felt this game was over with how many the Av's give up to us.

Team has still not played 60mins but they were close to that tonight.

Gotta like that this Oilers team doesn't give up on games.

No offense to Petrell but maybe we don't win this game if he's playing.

Smyth, PRV, Eager all with big games.

Today was 6.

Decent news on injury front.

True enough, it was a phenomenal comeback regardless of the injuries on the other side and we have had tons of depleted lineups in the past that other teams beat up on so it's good to see the tables turned for once.
Agreed on Hall and mentioned it in my previous post. He's the heartbeat of this team and for my money, its best player even if he isn't the most skilled guy. He's not only amazing at pushing the play in a positive manner but he has improved a good deal defensively as well. It really pisses me off when some posters want to trade him.

Oh jebus.

Gagner is back playing D against one of the speediest forwards in the league, Duchene, who simply stepped it into overdrive. A forward in that situation is in a mismatch. Few forwards wouldn't get undressed on that play. Just the other game N Schultz got burned on a play like that by Garbutt, a plumber in comparison.

Heres the thing. If Gagner wasn't even back there responsibly covering back for a pinched D nobody is on here calling it a mistake. If its Omark skating around center ice watching the play nobody even mentions it.

Lets enjoy the win OK?

Didn't RNH get an assist? On the ESPN box score it says no, I could've sworn that I saw him get a secondary assist on a goal.

Hall is in beast mode right now, and I think the goals will start coming in bunches for him soon.

Even if it was against a weak team, there's a lot of positives here. Smyth turned in a good game, Eberle and RNH finally got on the scoresheet, and perhaps most importantly, the Oilers finally demonstrated the scoring and offensive depth we've been expecting all season long. I hope they can do this against Vancouver or Chicago one day, but I'm all smiles right now.

I thought it was announced that he had the second assist on our first goal, but it looks like they've revised it to award them to Gagner and Hall.

This micro-analyzing of every single play Gagner makes, good and bad, is getting very boring.

Anyways great comeback and entertaining game. Hemsky is a beast.

I think he had one on the first goal but they changed it to Gagner.
