No one knows what the Kings are doing. Robinson hasn't been too good but he's only 21 years old and still has the potential to be a very good player. They don't even give their 5th overall pick a full season?
This should be great for Robinson. He gets to go to a better team and gets to learn from Kevin McHale.
Come on, people. The Kings blew the 5th pick when they took Robinson instead of Lillard.
Robinson is very athletic, but can't shoot and has a low basketball IQ. Patterson is only 23 and looks like he will be the better of the two players. Honeycutt and Garcia are nothing significant, and neither are Douglas and Alrich. The trade comes down to Patterson for Robinson, and right now, Patterson looks more a sure thing than does Robinson.
This trade isn't as bad as some of you are tying to make it.
Just one less asset the Sonics will have to play with going forward.
Still a lot that has to be done before that is even a done deal. The minority owners plan to sue since they didn't have the first opportunity to buy the team and the Nba gave Kevin Johnson a date to come forward with an owner who can keep the team here.
Enough with the pot shots. You're looking real immature.
Robinson was never going to be effective next to Cousins, Patterson can. (Robinson and Cousins both need to score from close to the basket, there isn't much space there, Patterson is more of a high post scorer.) While Asik can't be relied upon offensively, so Robinson may get a chance to shine with him.
Could actually be win win. But the deal definitely makes more sense for Houston.
Every post comes with the Nalyd Psycho Seal of Approval.
Definitely will be traded, I believe. Atlanta doesn't seem to keen on giving him his max deal that he seeks. If I had to take a guess to where he'll land, I'll say Brooklyn, but they need to up the ante on the Humphries + Brooks rumor that's around and about. They will have to include at least a first. They can definitely get outbid, but they seem to have one of the higher interest levels in Smith.
As for the trade deadline as a whole, I'm interested in seeing what comes of Paul Millsap, Eric Bledsoe, and J.J Reddick. I don't feel as if the Clippers NEED to make a move, but the return for Bledsoe would be rather interesting. Reddick would be a nice addition to say the Pacers or Bulls. Should be an interesting deadline at the very least.
