Rely is a top 6 forward.
Hanzal is an elite shutdown forward with some offensive upside. I'll take the later.

Hanzal, but it's close. O'Rielly brings more offense to the table, while Hanzal brings more defensive play, grit, etc... as well as some offensive ability. Hanzal is a more complete player.

Hanzal's more physical, O'Reilly is more offensively capable, both are elite defensively, but I think the difference offensively is bigger than the difference physically, so Ryan for me.

O'Rielly rather easily. Hanzal is a solid shutdown C but his offensive game is quite a notch below ROR. Both are extremely good defensively.

O'Reilly is the more complete player and it's not close. O'Reilly brings signicantly more offense with a great two-way game. There's no doubt which player is more complete and which player brings more to the table. The only thing Hanzal has on O'Reilly is size, and it's not like O'Reilly's a smurf.

Hanzal has 7 goals in 11 games. Currently leads Phoenix.
He has been a big part of our offense this year. Can he keep it up, is the question.

ROR. Both are top-notch defensive players; O'Reilly is clearly more offensively gifted though.

Hanzal is probably the best #3C in the league. If you already had 2 talented centers, you'd want Hanzal over ROR. That being said, ROR is probably the more rounded player. I'm not sure why this is a poll.

So they both offensively have pretty much the same points per game in their NHL careers at around 0.45 PPG...but you say Hanzal is a lot better defensively right?

So how is O'Reilly better overall?

Well Hanzal is pretty hot right now and ROR isn't playing so hard to judge the current level of play. Last season ROR was better than Hanzal and has more potential to be even better so I'll go with ROR.

O'Reilly's superior offensive game makes this a pretty easy decision for me.
