Timonen has returned.

It could be equipment related. The Islanders' old building requires players to exit the ice a certain way due to the structure of the facility.

I really hope the Flyers keep the pedal to the metal in practice and in the next game, and don't fool themselves that they are "back" after beating this abomination of a hockey team they've faced today. Not that the Isles are this bad, normally, I've actually liked them in the games I've seen this season.

He probably had his shinbone replaced. For Timonen, that's "equipment."

Am I just being a homer or have these penalties been pretty terrible?

At least the effort is there. Hopefully there are no more games like that habs game the other day.

For the most part they are giving the islanders the borderline calls but not calling much against them

As bad as the Isles have been today, the Flyers look like a different team because they're actually playing hard from start to finish at least for the first 2 periods. If they played like they are today for every game they'd be a much better team.

The real reason Boosh was called up.

"Yeah, sure, you can play. Whatever. Just don't forget the slurpee machine."

The Coburn penalty is the only one I've seen all game that can be called legit. And that's going both ways.

They at least called a penalty I never seen before, the unsportmanlike on Tavares for grabbing Brayden's face shield.

Did not know this....

Frank Seravalli ‏@DNFlyers
Claude Giroux does not have hat trick in a regular season game in his career.

Goals were scored at 0:29, 1:19 and 0:31 in the three periods. It barely missed from three opening minute goals.
