Yeah, they play well 5 on 5 and can be counted on for secondary scoring and being defensively responsible.

Perhaps we can move someone who "doesn't make this team worse" for someone who makes game changing hits and can play the PK?

Kopecky and Goc are of course without question better players. Kopecky on a good team can provide 3rd line scoring whilst Goc is a very very dependable and useful utility player that many teams would like in their bottom six."

I believe the above contradicts this idea that i don't see the merit of bottom six players.
Lol, a blue moon doesn't take away from my statement.

Except Torres and Cooke take horrendous penalties that cost the team and get them suspended. Other than Chipchura, none are that much of an upgrade. And I only like him cause he's a decent enough fighter.

LMAO, Clemmer was very good last year. 14-6-6, points in 20 out of 26 games, had a 913% save percentage. You must have forgot that too.

Contradictory evidence however does.

I guess Jack Skille needs some HFboards discussion time somehow. I await the "NHL Player Jack Skille scores nice goal" on the main forum.

Nope. Sure didn't, I now why he was re-signed. An frankly, the team played well enough most of the time I could forget a poor PK. Of all the thing wrong this season, though, you pinpoint Skille. It's laughable.

And again on Clem, absolute sive, wasn't good year before either. Talk about replaceable."LMAO"

You have to be unfamiliar with both players if you don't think they're clearly much better than Jack Skille.

Cooke has been reformed. He doesn't take dumb penalties anymore.

Torres has an occasional misstep but that's what you get from a guy who can lay out game changing hits.

I'll make it easy for you. Take a look at their statistical comparisons....

Frankly, I'm fine either way with him being moved, but he's better than being given credit on here.

If Skille were European, he'd still be a limited player.

It isn't one of those NHL advertisment campaigns.

"What if Jack Skille were Swedish ......."

Who said he isn't limited? That's not the topic. I'm saying I'd take him over several guys.

I stand corrected, he wasn't suspended, he just ended a guy's season in a very questionable manner.

To quote you ; "and he's clearly stepped it up, proving he can play a more important role".

Skille does nothing well, and nothing particularly horribly. He's a very mundane hockey player, who realistically could just as easily be out of the league as in it. Mediocre player on a bad team. That is it. It's really really difficult to see why anybody wouldn't agree. No sane fan should care what becomes of Jack Skille. The majority of players RainingRats listed are better than Skille.

Whether you like Matt Cooke or not, he's indisputably a better hockey player than Jack Passion.

Such a debate over a replaceable 4th liner.
Outside of his hustle, he doesnt have much going for him.

I'll disagree. If Tallon keeps him, great. If not, no worries.

In your words, I believe, "he's someone you don't have to worry about on the ice." Exactly what you want in a 4th liner. And no to Cooke and Torres, thanks. And LaRose.

But, but...the good role players are on the PK. You're doing a good job changing your argument.

Skille has outplayed many of the good role players this year, yet you fail to acknowledge that.

I'm not changing anything. They're not good on the PK either and they're all better than Skille. Who do you replace? You replace the worst player who is skille.

Because we have no other forwards worth replacing?
And actually, you might want to replace the overpaid players on the team. There are many to choose from. For a team working on a budget, we've overpaid a group of players who have already served their purpose here.

And, for what it's worth, one of the role players being mentioned is Bergy. No one really knows what's going on with him.
