Yea it was Bieksa. It was actually a perfect example of a playing doing as much as possible to avoid killing the goalie.

Halak was on the bench tonight so he is ready. What happens with Allen is up in the air right now. What I would personally do is start Halak against SJ then Elliott against COL if Elliott plays decent than send Allen back down. If Elliott plays horrible again then they still pretty much have to send him back down. There is no reason to carry 3 goalies and Allen does not have to go through waivers. Allen is hot right now but he will not keep it up he is going to fall back down to earth and Elliott is going to come back up to earth at some point. Halak is still the starter unless he gets hurt again he will stay the starter. Allen needs to be in Peoria where he will be the starter, it does not do him or the team any good to have him backing up Halak. As far as next year is concerned it still would not do any good to have him backing up Halak. Unless the Blues are hurting so bad for money they need that extra few hundred thousand by dropping Elliott than Allen will be in Peoria next year. Allen is an RFA if the Blues were to keep him up all year he will want a lot more money than if he spends the rest of the year in Peoria. They do not want Allen to stay up to long and have a few bad games that ruin his confidence. To answer the actual question something could happen as soon as tomorrow but they might wait a few days to make sure Halak really is ready.

Secondary passes in the defensive zone have to get cleaned up -- they're far below NHL average right now and it's costing us some goals.

I'm becoming more and more frightened with how easily teams are expanding their forecheck on us with incredible amounts of success (ex LA. Anaheim, Van).

...also, can anyone pinpoint if we change our forecheck with the lead?

Canucks fan here. Great game by you guys. We fans tend to not give credit to the other team in a loss, but you guys played a tight game.

Looking forward to our next game

Oh, speaking of staying with the hot hand, The Inglorious One should make the next GDT!

Just looked at the box score. Oshie was 2nd on the team in ice time. Played 23:29. Second to Petro who played 27:33. I think Hitch liked their games tonight.

I would start Allen next game and Halak in COL. Reason being, an extra day of healing for Halak can't be a bad thing with it being a groin issue.

I want to see Elliott get in a game now that he has been benched for a week, he has to play again at some point and COL is a weak opponenent that we should beat it would be a good opportunity to get Elliott back in the net but he should be on a short leash. If you wait on getting Elliott a game he is going to have to play against a strong opponent.

Amen. He was very good last year, but he's taken his game to another level this year. He's been outstanding.

I think some people are underrating Allen's potential he was a high 2nd round pick for a reason. He had a very good CHL season in 09-10. Was the starter for Canada in the WJC that year as well. He's had some great stretches in Peoria as well. He just needs to be more consistent even though playing on a poor Peoria team doesn't help much either.

After dominating the 2nd, I am not sure why the Blues didn't come out harder the 3rd. The first period, the Nucks came out and dominated the first 10 minutes too. Once the time out came, the Blues took over. I just can't figure out the slow start and the poor 3rd. Need to be better than that.

No please no, seems like a hulluva nice guy, but this guy has been crap in net this season. He is no Jonathan Quick (who is hoping to bounce back to last years form after a back surgery), or Luongo the year after Boston. Sit this guy down and chock last year up to Hitch's system and Elliot having the year of his career.

We should give Elliot a month off if Allen keeps playing this hot.

If Allen keeps playing at this level,

1. Elliot
2. Rattie
3. Schmaltz
4. D'agistini

All guys we can afford to put together for a center or LH D. Pick Elliot and 2 others.

IKR, not bad for a boring "trap" team.

Better yet, it must be that "hitchcock system".
