Kaberle on waivers-Toronto bound?

I think it would be amazing to have Kaberle back, I know he has not played great this season but back in the blue and white might bea perfect thing for him to get his game back.

Discuss

what do you think?

No. Just no. There is a reason he is on waivers. His time is up sorry to say

To be fair I haven't seen much of Kaberle since the Bruins playoff run, has he really fallen off that much? I find it hard to believe that even an aging Kaberle isn't better for this team than Kostka?

Zero chance we claim him. Only thing that could happen is Kaberle for Komi, and I don't know why we'd even want that. Rather have Komi as a depth defensemen for a playoff run.

No .. Liles, Gardiner and Franson give the back end enough mobility and puck movement

I think this is a no-brainer to bring Kaberle back home. He is apparently in his best shape in years, FWIW.

Best case? Kaberle makes our PP even better and plays like he did years ago, giving us a great depth D. Gives our team a veteran who knows what it takes to win.

Worst case? He sucks, we waive him, his contract is in the minors just like Komi and Connolly, or somebody claims him.

Realistic case? He is a good 3rd pairing defenseman, give him sheltered even-strength minutes and some PP time and he will shine. You have to think that he would love to come back for a playoff run in Toronto.

This is a no risk/decent reward situation and I don't see how Nonis wouldn't at least consider it.

I don't think there is much to discuss. We are also discussing this in the trade/propsal thread. We seem to have a majority that agrees with the answer being NO. Myself included. If you wish to continue please do so there.
