Rielly has been solid defensively.

OT started, got 2 takeaways, one of them leading to a solid offensive chance (puck bobbled on Rielly).

He didn't. shootout just started

EDIT: Actually, he got credited with another assist the first game vs Brandon. He's got 100 points.

Holy crap

And yeah, not a good call. They looked at the result of the hit, not the hit itself when they made that call.

Moose Jaw loses in the shootout. Solid all around game for Rielly. He had a few great chances to score. His coach also used him on the PK. Don't know if he will be one of the stars of the game, the two goalies were on their 'A' game as well.

By the time Rielly is done with the NHL, the Norris will no longer exist. Just some new trophy called The Rielly

He might even see a couple The Kadri trophies for being the leading scorer in the league.

Too bad Rielly is a defenseman. That means he can't win a Kessel for being the best 2 way forward.

Anyways, prospect talk I heard the Marlies acquired this Connolly kid the other month, is he any good?

But seriously, I like how Sparks is looking. 7th in GAA, 5th in sv%, T-1st in wins, T-1st for shutouts, 1st in minutes played, 2nd most saves. You never know which goalies will turn out good, Sparks is progressing in the right direction, thats for sure.

Looking forward to watching the Generals playoff game tonight, I predict a nice playoff for Tyler Biggs, he's the type of player that excels in big game situations. Still think the gens will be in tough to advance to the Memorial Cup but they should win a rd or 2 to make things interesting.

Kessel might be the beneficiary of Rielly's passes more than Connolly or Bozak when and if these 2 play together. Even here on the Leafs forum he doesn't get enough credit for his vision, playmaking and passing.

Kessel is an amazing playmaking winger. He can put up 30 goals+ and set up his linemates.

He can make his linemates better but we need someone better than Bozak down the middle.

They were thinking of trying JvR at center during the offseason..but they can't have Kadri instead of Bozak?

He'll make that line much more of a threat. He should be the center on that line for every offensive zone faceoff.

I think Kessel would be freed more if Boston never converted him to right wing, now he is pigeoned hole as a sniper, he's not really a sniper to me in the Kovachuk caliber. He's more of a playmaking winger, he doesn't one time the puck well enough to be called a sniper, nor does he have a big slapper. I really think people should start realizing Kessel is a points winger rather than a goal scorer. He isn't physical, never will be. Freeing him from the wall might be the best thing that ever will happen to him. Plus he can use his skating and puck handling ability without the constraints of being a winger. But it's probably not going to happen here. Not even sure if Nonis is going to trade him or not if the right offer comes up. But it's a reality I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

Sure he does, most of us just aren't asinine to take that and argue he's a center. Maybe the worst idea ever, but remember the source

How is MoRiles defensively, can he be a two-way player or is he purely offensive?

On a side note, do any of you guys think Biggs could make the NHL team next year? He looks like he can perform well in a 3rd line role already from the games I have watched.

Rielly is serviceable defensively, but still needs work.

Biggs SHOULD be playing in the AHL next year, to help develop his offensive game, and learn the pro game, despite his physical stature being ready for the NHL.
