Proposal: defensive d-man to the islanders

doesn't really matter if it is 1st 2nd or 3rd pairing, or even a number 7, getting beat 7 - 0 to the flyers with almost every single goal scored in the paint is not acceptable, and brian strait was also injured and is not out for 2 months

reasoner is available for very very cheap (oilers fans, you guys still have andy sutton?)
okposo is also available but a number 4 dman should be expected in a return

No, we just have Phaneuf, Gunnar, Kostka, Franson, Liles, Holzer, Frazer and Komi as NHL D right now. We also have Gardiner ready to go. The coach is just riding the winning hand right now and guys like Frazer, Kostka and Franson have been doing really well as of late.

I'd be okay with some Islanders throwback players in Adrian Aucoin or Roman Hamerlik taking another stint with us as well.

For whatever reason, Hamrlik has been a healthy scratch for the Caps for a while now, so I can see him being available. No idea what the cost would be though.

Komisarek deserves to play in the NHL. If not for his salary he would be on some team right now.

I'm not selling him to you. He has been a different player this year. However, Fraser is the guy that has bumped him out of his spot. (hard to take out a guy with one of the best +/-)

Retaining some of his salary may be a option. However, I don't see him as negative value anymore, and if someone were to go down; he is ready to jump into our lineup.

ive heard the islanders have been interested in komi (some posters on the leafs board have said it)

Komi grew up an islanders fan i think and i could see a fit, any round pick and we will retain some salary would probably work.

this would be a case of a player getting a chance to play more than anything.
