Kris Russell to Ottawa

Russell has been rotating with Redden and St.Louis has a few close to NHL ready d-men in the AHL. What would St.Louis want for him.

5th rounder seems to be the going rate for players of his caliber this year...

He's a shade better than Tangradi... maybe a 4th?

No point in trading a depth d man for so little of a return unless another deal is worked out for a upgrade. With this compact schedule injuries are bound to happen so keeping him is the better option.

As a Sens fan, I agree. Blues should probably hold onto him, unless they have someone who is NHL-ready on the farm who can be called up in a pinch, because I can't see Russell getting them much in the way of a trade.
