NCAA playoffs

Now the real NCAA playoffs begin, and we have six King prospects in it:

Midwest Regional:
14 Colgate vs. 2 Colorado College (Petiot, Zaba)
11 Wisconsin vs. 6 Michigan (Tambellini)

Best case scenario: Michigan and Colorado College win their first game, play each other, and only one gets to go to the Frozen Four.

East Regional:
16 Mercyhurst vs. 1 Boston College (Murphy, Boyle)
12 Boston University vs. 7 North Dakota (Murray)

Best case scenario: BC and ND win their first game, play each other, and only one gets to the frozen four.

Woulda been cool if each could have been in a different region, but what can you do?

They all play Friday AND Saturday.

Petiot had at least one assist, and it was on the game winner.

Missing from the scoresheet of the BC game is Ryan Murphy's "assist" on the GWG. As Brennan came from the right side, Murphy got in between the Mercyhurst goalie and d-man and muscled the d-man out to open a slot for Brennan. Real nice play...

Yeah, BC just never got on a roll but a lot of credit goes to UND for not letting them...I didn't think we'd be starting the Ryan Murphy watch in Manchester this soon, but let it begin...Murphy had the primary assist on BC's last goal and ended his college career in the box for sticking-up for a teammate...

Some of us still have UNH in the tourney...

BC could never get it going tonite. But i agree, allot of that had to do with ND, man that team can skate. very impressive club.
UNH game today was great. I know not allot of you are Flyers fans but this was my first look at Dov-Grummet Morris. very good goalie, UNH is going to have to play a much better game then they did today to beat Denver IMO.
I see that Michigan blew a 3-0 lead today against Colorado College. I feel bad for Tambs, but i dont for Montoya. really brings a tear to my eye seeing a Ranger draft pick lose a game like that

Well...for now. I think CMGDC knows my feelings about UNH.

...and yes, CMGDC...an overtime win was actually pretty clutch.

( even if it was a team they should've beaten anyway... )

Well, it's a good thing I didn't fill out a bracket for the Frozen Fury because the two teams I thought had the best chance of winning just lost yesterday (BC and Michigan).

I've seen CC probably a dozen times this year and don't think they're as good as their record, but they're winning and that is ALL that matters. So go CC!
