These 5 games aren't "deciding" anything. We could win all 5 and we are still going to miss the playoffs.

But we all know we aren't winning them all.

$77,000,000 on this roster is a joke. Darcy is as much if not more of a problem as Ruff.

If Darcy and Lindy didn't luck into the greatest goaltender of all time they both woulda been gone 13 years ago.

2 out of the 5 will be W's. I don't think this team will go to the playoffs. If they do, expect to lose in the 1st round.

Any conversation about them making a push to the playoffs is a joke. They're capable of making a push, but they won't make the playoffs. There aren't that many games left, they're in last place, and every team has games in hand. Nevermind that they're thin and their defense is terrible. It's not happening.

Having said that, if people are rooting for them to play their best and win as much as they can, I respect that. When I'm actually watching a game I will root for them to win the same as always. Outside of the actual game though, I am absolutely pulling for this team to finish at the bottom and to make moves that reflect a resignation to this being a playoffless transition year.

vs. the all-too-common playoffless status quo year.

You know they've already lost 3 of the 5, right?

So you expect them to now match their season-high winning streak of 2 wins?

I know it's fun to dream, but be careful about raising your expectations to an unattainable level.

Climbing to a .500 record by seasons end might be realistic. But the way they are playing right now, they need to get it in gear soon. Hockey's a funny thing, teams in front of them could fall apart tomorrow, doubtful, but it could happen. But realistically the Sabres would need an awful lot of help to get into the playoffs, and some serious "come to Jesus moments" by a lot of players on this current roster.......

I doubt this squad makes the playoffs even if you put Jesus in goal, Peter, James & John at forward, and your pick of the remaining apostles at "D".

I agree, but the Middle-East has a horrible record of producing hockey talent

If this motley crew managed to get into the playoffs and actually win anything, then the NHL should be shut down.
