Sidney Crosby has 136 points in his last 82 games

Sidney Crosby has scored 136 points over his last 82 games played.

Best 82 game scoring pace since Mario Lemieux in 1995-1996 had 161 points in 70 games.

Code:
		                 GP	G	A	P	+/-	PIM PPG SHG GWG	S	S%
2010-2011	Penguins	41	32 34	66	20	31 10 1	3	161 19.9
2011-2012	Penguins	22	8	29	37	15	14 2	0	3	75	10.7
2012-2013	Penguins	16	7	17	24	11	8	2	0	0	61	11.5
Totals Penguins 79	47 80 127 46	53 14 1	6	297 15.8
3 games are taken from the last 3 games of the 2009-2010 season.

Also, take into account Crosby is nowhere near the same player he was before the concussion and still he has been putting up decent points!

---
Addition:

Mario Lemieux:

last 3 games of '1997: 1 G, 3 A = 4 Pts
43 games in '2001: 35 G, 41 A = 76 Pts
24 games in '2002: 6 G, 25 A = 31 Pts
first 12 games in '2003: 8 G, 21 A = 29 Pts

82 consecutive regular season games: 50 G, 90 A = 140 Pts

Also, Jaromir Jagr had 146 points in 82 consecutive games in '99 & '00.

I highly doubt he would put up those numbers if he played all 82 games consecutively, still impressive tho

Pretty incredible. As a fan of hockey in general, I hope his concussion issues are a thing of the past.

I don't know if I highly doubt it, but it does seem more unlikely.

The goaltending on some of the East clubs is pretty horrawful these days too.

Anytime I hear Crosby's name I just think of the thread on this board "Is Crosby coming back down to Earth?" lol. Great job by Sid.

So he's supposed to score 9 points in the next 3 games?

He has actually been on a 135 point pace since a Rangers game in November 2009 - I believe including playoffs it's the last 150 games or so.

No, 136 points in 82 games dating back to the last 3 games of the 2009-2010 season.

I don't feel like looking it up, but it's possible he had nine points in his last three games in 2010.

edit: nevermind. See above.

He's including the last 3 games from 09-10.

These last games were 4 against NYI, 0 vs Atlanta, 5 against NYI, aka tanking team gave him 9 points.

....something that is available for taking by any player in the league. I suppose Crosby just "took" it while other players refused to.

I don't understand why people keep pointing out multiple seasons. Yes, his totals would be lower, but 136 points in an 82 game stretch is extremely impressive.

But it's still over multiple seasons.

Had he played the full seasons, he wouldnt be at 136 points

I know that, but you purposely made this thread because it would've just padded his point totals.

If he gets 0 pts in the next 3 games, he has 127 pts in his last 82 games. Should have just used the last 3 seasons, the year he got concussed, the year he returned and the year he's healthy.

Why is this so clear? Does it not hamper his stats coming back from concussion 3 times? Shaking of rust etc. Crosby has always been a slow starter.

He was on pace for 131 points in 2010-2011 before the concussion and that included 2 games playing concussed.

when is the last time a Flyers player scored 136+ points over any 82-game stretch?

i know whining in any Pens main-board thread is your milieu, but could you just see the thread for what it is for once?
