lol I don't think they are making the finals. I think the Leafs are doing good but I think they will only make 1st or 2nd round.

1st round exit, so they draft somewhere from 15 or lower. Nice progression for the team definetly.

Anyway instead of spatting with Montreal fans, the difference between the Leafs of this season and that of last is that in addition to being top 10 in the league in the current standings, they are top 10 G/G, top 10 GA/G and in the top half of the league on the PK. Those are all significant improvements on the glory run of last season where all but G/G were nearing the bottom of the league.

Whoever meets the Leafs in round 1 is going to pay the price if they do get by them. They are not a fun team to play against.

Yes they laid an egg last night, but they are a big tough team with a decent amount of skill.

Leafs most definitely will make the playoffs, and possibly advance to round 2.

I have no idea, but making the playoffs would be a nice start.

No need to be that nice. Haha

We are in no way or form a lock to make the playoffs. We usually **** the bed against bad teams, I just hope we can continue to bounce back from the losses. Our longest losing streak is 2 games, which means we are bound to go on a long losing streak if this team is similar to those in the past. Saying this though, our team is playing no where near our past teams, we are playing much better overall and are receiving great goaltending. Lots of hockey left to play. Who knows, we could potentiall end up in the top spot in the conference if we string a couple winning streaks together, or we might end up near the bottom if the opposite happens. This team is too unpredictable right now, as seen in the games against the habs. 1st game we were average, 2nd we were unstoppable, 3rd we were brutal.

We are missing some very core pieces in Frattin, Reimer and Lupul. Frattin has been our best goal scorer IMO, Lupul is a legit top liner who might get Kessel going, and Reimer has been tremendous so far this season.

Anything can happen though.

Currently 5 points up on Tampa and Winnipeg, who both have 2 games in hand. I'm still not convinced they make the playoffs. Whens Reimer back ? Scrivens can't stop anything without a huge rebound

There should be an option: As far as Kadri can carry them.

Why would Phaneuf fight a 4th liner when his team is in the middle of killing off a 5 minute major penalty?

Plus earlier in the year Gunnarsson (top pairing defensemen last year) was injured and he's still playing through injury, and Jake Gardiner is not in the NHL for injury-related reasons.
