9 goals, 14 assists, in 29 games. he has been one of the best players on the roster this year. teams that may have interest are Detroit, Montreal, and Vancouver. how much could the flames get in return for this guy?
What do the Flames need? I think he would look great on a line with Kesler, although I wouldn't be interested in overpaying because of it being in-division.

And the Flames would be looking for an overpayment, were they to trade him to a division rival.
Tanguay would be a solid addition to any contender, but the term left on his contract could scare off some suitors. 3.5M for 3 more years after this one. He also has a modified NTC.

I can't see his contract being a problem. 3.5 million is a steal for tanguay and even in a couple years lets say he regresses a bit it's still not that bad.

The hockey insiders over at TSN have speculated one of the reasons for the lack of trades is a result of next years falling cap, with teams hesitant to add salary moving forward. Tanguay's cap hit is fantastic for his production but I would expect more than few GM's are a little wary of acquiring him until he's 36.
Was just thinking about him. With the Predators generally needing offense and at this point considering them as buyers as they make a push for the playoffs, anybody think he would be a fit there? Not sure what Nashville would part with, though.

In addition to draft picks Nashville has quite a few younger players / prospects that are intriguing assets.
Calgary would likely be heavily interested in the following pieces
Austin Watson
Taylor Beck
Zach Budish
Colton Sissons
Brendan Leipsic
Jonathan Blum
Mattias Ekholm
Ryan Ellis
etc..
I assume a deal could be made if a there was a piece that both parties were interested in moving/acquiring.
One of our best forwards the last couple seasons. I'd be happy with a first round pick, or a second rounder and a good prospect. He is older, and not omg top line guy anymore, but for his easy to manage caphit and performance, id say a first is more than reasonable for both sides
Because he's a contract player, he's going to get a 1st and a prospect. So let's say it was Detroit... He'd get a 1st and a player like Pulkinen. His contract is also a good contract.
You can keep him. No one is giving up more than a 1st for him. Calgary's problem is keeping vets when they should be dealt. The Flames will never have a true rebuild because of attitudes like that. I doubt his value will get much higher than now.
Iginla, Tanguay, and Cammalleri are great offensive talents. Put them on a line together and give them free range to try and score and they're going to. Throw in Bouwmeester's or Wideman's willingness to jump into the play and they're going to put up a lot of points. Give that line any defensive responsibility, however, and it might simply crumble.
There's no way I would label any of those players as close to the best players on the roster this year, with all due respect to Flamester. They go up against third line checkers and give up more scoring chances against them then they generate. Entire line has been disappointing despite their inflated stats, in my opinion.
Tanguay at least has a reasonable cap hit, but if Feaster's going to get anywhere close to a 1st and Tanguay's modified NTC isn't getting in the way, I'd say jump on it.
