Minnesota has this unique tradition where the entire arena is completely, uncomfortably silent for the entire anthem(s), and the fans passive-aggressively glare at anyone who tries to sing along.

I like the Vancouver guy (Mark Donelly?). I love it when he holds out the mic to let the crowd sing.

Ehh, I can't stand that.

Does Jim Cornelison still doing an anthems for the Hawks? He was god awful.

Yup, he still does them!

He used to do that because he needed a short break to eat pie but I guess he lost a lot of weight.

Lyndon Slewidge in Ottawa is the best...

I also enjoy Philly and Chicago. Pia Toscano is good in LA when she does it.

Love what we have here in Vancouver with Mark Donnely, gets the crowd going.

This is the most outstanding one I've ever seen though.

Whoever sang the National Anthem for the Rags vs Caps game was absolutely terrible. I was embarrassed listening to it.

Not hockey, but the only time I get the chills is hearing an entire stadium singing God Save the Queen.

Jim Cornelison and the Hawks. Obviously, I'm biased.. but man does it ever get you pumped up for a game, especially in the playoffs.

Are you out of your mind? John Amirante is incredible. He's a legend at MSG.

My bad for sounding like a dick, it's your opinion.

Even if you don't like the singer (I do), the organ itself is awesome.

Here's a rendition during the gulf war in the old chicago stadium

I have two pet peeves when it comes to anthems, the first being when they change the rhythm of the anthem so it's hard to sing along with. I remember a Tampa Bay anthem for a hockey game against Ottawa where they had an acoustic version of the American anthem that took around 5 minutes and also had fireworks (which fogged up the ice and took ages to clear).

The second pet peeve, is when a singer rushes through the other national anthem (i.e. Canadian anthem in America and vice versa) and doesn't put any emotion into the song. Granted, it's not your anthem, but I think more of a singer who puts effort into their anthem singing of the other nation rather than how well they sing their own.

I've heard some great anthem singers in Vancouver, though if I couldn't be a homer and say Vancouver, I would probably say Nashville does a good job of singing both anthems.

Listening to Jeff Jimerson singing the anthems in Pittsburgh is fantastic.

Sadly I don't recall hearing him sing the anthems much if at all this year. Is he still the anthem guy in the 'Burgh??? Normally I've used anthem time this season to either grab a beer or have a smoke so I haven't paid full attention.

Yup, he's done every home game this year. I'll add another vote for Jimerson. Doesn't feel right when he doesn't sing the anthems.

I do like when the singer sometimes stops and you can hear the audience singing the anthem. I think Calgary does this every game, no?

The Sabres have have an 8 year old girl signing recently. Crazy the amount of confidence and vocal power and soul coming out of a little 8 year old girl.
That little girl was absolutely awesome!
