Oligny to Rimouski

It's just been said on Rimouski's official website that Jimmy Oligny (Charlottetown) has been traded to Océanic. He will likely be the third 20 years old, with Peter Trainor and Scott Oke.

He is traded against a 1st round and a 4th round pick in 2014.

What kind of player is Oligny?

Expect him to put up about 50-60 points and rack up a lot of PIMs. He's a pretty solid guy on the back end and is a pain to play against.

Rimouski going for it for sure. Oligny could be one of the best defensemen in the league this season.

Very tough and very mean defensive d-man. He is great 1-on-1. He will take a lot of roughing penalties but he is smart otherwise. He will make good passes but he is not an offensive machine. He is a very vocal leader. He is mature and serious. He has a kid. I think it's a great thing for Jimmy because he is going to have more exposure but I don't understand the move by Charlottetown. Who are the 20 years old... Beran ok, Provencher isn't that good, maybe an average second liner. It's a great move by Rimouski, only a 1st round pick (the 4th is conditionnal).

Happy about the move, the Nics will have a very competitive and complete team heading into next season.

Great move by both sides. Rocket rebuilding (1st round draft pick) and Rimouski gearing up for a run!

Good trade for both teams . Oligny will fit in very nicely in Rimouski. They needed to add to the blueline and they did it with one of the best dmen in the league this upcoming season. He also brings some grit and toughness that they lost.

So their 20's will be Oligny, Oke & Trainor. Not bad at all.
