Girardi carried off the ice...doesn't miss a skate.

What a warrior. How could you not root for that guy.

If he plays in their next game, he should win the Steve McDonald Extra Effort Award right now.....

I'm more worried about McD! Guy seems tough as nails, and IF he's not on he ice, it must be bad, as concussion bad!

the rangers are actually good with the love taps..and yapping. they need to dole out real punishment. that's the problem. you dismember a ranger, callahan yells at you and whacks your skate with his stick. not very impresive...

you're very right about nhl 'justice' though and that policing needs to be done on the ice and fast.

Well, getting Powe, Girardi, and Del Zotto back full strength would be a freakin godsend at this point. (if they will indeed play)

Really hoping Nash and McDonagh arent too far behind, but they are being awful quiet on both of them.

Hank needs to hit beast-mode. Like starting tomorrow.

Hearing that Girardi is back on the ice made my day. Even if hes out a couple games to heal.

He's the last person anyone needs to be worried about. Its the rest of the team actually scoring goals that is the problem.

Of course, but it wouldnt hurt if he hit an insane stretch here. Not saying its up to him.

I think at this point its quite concerning. It blows my mind that NO beat writer in NY, has any idea what the problem is! I'm sure we'll know something from Mackenzie, Dreger or Kypreos before soon...

Now the bad news.

No Rick Nash (undisclosed) at practice as suspicion grows daily he has a concussion.

No Ryan McDonagh (undisclosed), with the belief he suffered a concussion in Montreal

No Arron Asham (back spasms).

From Andrew Gross' blog.

Why is Kreider skating as an extra, I firmly believe he doesnt deserve to be sent down anymore than JT does

Something doesn't make sense to me. Why are CK & CT skating as extras, but Mash is in (although on the 4th line), when we're having problems scoring goals

He is skating as an extra? Do they even have enough skaters to have an extra?

Agreed, agreed, agreed.

I don't think JT should be up here, but that's me.

Tortorella is making sure the kid knows who's boss, and that his agenda comes before of the team on the ice.

Good to hear that Powe is skating. I think his contribution is major for a 4th liner, he was great at causing turn overs.

Hope we hear something about McD and Nash. I know it was speculation but I thought McD flying home with the team was a good sign, surprised he's not out there...

I'm not going to panic until they ressurect him as zombie Nash and find out the groin concussion persisted through death. Then the season is really over.

Can we start worrying about Nash now? We've scored three goals in three games without him. We need major help.
