“@AGrossRecord: #NYR just left ice as a team after practice, en masse. Has happened before when Torts was displeased with practice. Was a long skate, tho.”

When Cooke elbowed McDonagh two years ago. He didn't skate the 2nd day after the incident. The Rangers were off the next day after the Pitt game. He was given the day off. If McD got concussed by Pacioretty,he avoided the first two attempts by Cooke and Ference. Ryan should have driven Pacioretty hard into the boards. Hope its a lesson for him to learn.

Is Torts trying to get fired? We cannot score and Bickel and Mash are going to play while these two kids who can bury a chance if one presents itself are going to sit? I think he's nuts. CT should be on the PP with an opportunity to shoot off the pass, ala Stamkos. We have the personnel. It is becoming abundantly clear that the New York Rangers do not score enough because their coach holds them to a defensive standard that stymies the kind of creativity and risk taking needed to score.

Add that to the fact that we didn't retaliate for the hit on Mac and I am almost done with Torts and his shenanigans.

Were playing a weak WPG team tomorrow so were gona sit two young forwards who can score especially kreider but have been struggling. That makes sense. This is the type of team
kreider should get more ice time against not less. Torts is losing me.

Like clockwork, these unproven players are expected to save our offense. Just like Renney was an idiot for not embracing the obvious offensive dominance of Jarkko Immonen.

Honest question; how is Kreider supposed to develop like this? Wouldn't sticking him in the top 6 and letting him just play be better? He is already terrified of making mistakes, he is playing scared, now more of this?

Don't think anyone is saying that Kreider and Thomas are the answer to the offensive woes, but I also don't think anyone can argue that they're not more offensively capable than Bickel and Mashinter.

When your team has scored 4 goals in the last 4 games, it's probably not the best bet to bench two up and coming kids, who want to prove they belong and certainly haven't looked that bad, for two grinders.

But this is Torts, and Torts loves his jam. At this rate, we'll be putting two fourth lines on the ice vs WPG...

Well I'm certainly not expecting Bickel or Mashinter to provide any offense.

Newton's third law my ass. Been playing highly competitive hockey for 16 years and have never seen a clean hit with that much force that your feet come flying up in the air.

He did not make any attempt to keep his feet down and drive through McDonagh (which is how youre supposed to hit), he drove upwards. Perfect example of "targeting the head."

maybe Thomas didnt cycle the puck enough in the corners before he shot the puck in the Montreal game maybe that is why he is getting benched......

If they put Kreider and Thomas out there instead of Bickel and Mashinter, I wouldn't bat an eye. I've found Mashinter incredibly disappointing so far and Stu is what he is. But for all of Thomas and Kreider's skill, they have combined for 1 goal and 1 assist in the NHL this season.

I agree that we'll be dressing two poor bottom two lines, but I don't think Thomas or Kreider would change that in any way.

Torts being "unsure" just means "don't hold your breath"

4 games later, when's Nash's funeral?

How are they getting away with not saying how Nash is injured and why he is out? Don't the fans have the right to know? Malkin gets concussed and its all over the news. The only reason i can think of why is because its an injury that can be targeted by opponents, and they don't want them to know. I feel if it was a concussion they would have made an announcement just as they did with Powe and just as Pitts did with their superstar.

Just trade them. Apparently they have more value to us that way than actually learning the nhl game here..

So "not sure" on Nash/Mcd? Well at least not automatically ruled out.
