Nash hasn't skated in 9 days unless he has been skating when the media isn't around.
Yeah, Gross hinted that he asked whether Nash has been skating on his own but that the Rangers weren't giving out any answers to that
Maybe we'll get some more info after the skate. If he's 100% healthy I'd be tempted to throw him into the lineup even with limited minutes, cuz the team needs him that badly at the moment
Torts said yesterday he wasn't sure about McD and Nash playing tonight. Mac was at the facility yesterday getting treatment. Nash hasn't been around the team much. The Rangers put Powe on IR immediately when he was concussed. Trying to figure this out will give you a concussion.
On the other hand it was pretty damn obvious that Powe was concussed. Not so for Nash or McDonagh. I'm not completely sure what they really gain by not mentioning what's up with these guys though
Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord
Rick Nash and Chris Kreider are the last two on the ice to work with coaches and backup goalie Marty Biron. They may be the scratches.
I wonder if they'll ever disclose what's up with Nash.
well he's finally back out on the ice in a contact jersey, he is a warrior, I am pretty sure he will skate in warm ups and Ramsay and co. will decide then. LGR!!
Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord "Nash doesn't think he'll be ready tonight. Has been skating since last week on his own. Won't specify his injury. Says it was a few things."
"I asked Nash directly if he had a concussion. He said he's not a doctor, he had a few issues."
Sounds to me like its a concussion. Wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt go tonight and then is on the shelf again for 2 or 3 games. Whats extremely odd is that he was wearing a contact jersey, unless he was really a non-contact player that was purposely given a contact jersey to **** with the fans and media.
This is just stupid, tell us what his injuries are.
Good news is hes been skating on his own since last week... whatever that means.

They don't disclose injuries because they don't want players on other teams targeting the injured area.

meanwhile the entire Rangers fan base continues to panic after each game he misses. This is much betteR? The media is just gonna keep hounding Torts until he says something.

Do you think the players, coaches, and sather care that you're in a panic?
Do you think Torts cares that the media will hound him?
It also means the fans have no clue what's really going on with the players they pay for.
And what business is it of the fans what the injuries are?
Fans are paying to watch the players play, not to have rights to review their medical files.
Get a grip. You knowing what the injury is isn't going to get them back on the ice any sooner. It'd be better if they said "Undisclosed injury - out 2 - 4 weeks". But that information isn't always available to the team either.

Thing is if it's a concussion, what's wrong with saying it since players aren't supposed to target the head?
I can understand a shoulder, hip, leg, and even groin injury, but concussion?
You just said it yourself. Players aren't SUPPOSED to target the head.
so Kreider is going to be scratched even though Nash is a no go?
Brilliant. Let's scratch the one guy who showed any emotion in Montreal after Mcdonagh got cheap shotted. I guess Torts wants a softer, friendlier type of jam. Not like we need goal scorers in the lineup either. I mean, averaging a goal a game over the last 3 is perfectly acceptable....

I don't think Bickel being in over Kreider fits that description.
