Rexall Place Questions

This is an odd question and have never worried about it before. Does Rexall Place have free WiFi in the building? Only reason I am curious is that I'm coming up tomorrow night for the game and wanted to be able to check the roads before I left Rexall to head back to Lloyd after the game. I don't have a decent data plan (Pay as you go phone and all), so I'd rather use WiFi if possible.

Also, I've never had good seats before for a game at Rexall. This time I bought along the boards, do these seats have any perks attached to them? I know the Air Canada Centre comparable seats give me access to a VIP lounge and gives me in seat service.

No free wifi. I'm with rogers and I get brutal reception in there, very hit and miss.
If you bought "gold" seats it gives you access to a lounge and you can watch the Oilers take the ice from the dressing room, but no in seat service.

This exactly except that silver club seats also give you access to the lounge like gold seats. If your somewhere behind the net or close to it you get nothing

I'm in 102, just inside the blue line. So it means I have club access then. Not too interested in watching the Oilers take the ice as I'm a Kings fan and all.

Cameras are ok right? I just have a cheap digital nothing special. I was able to bring it into Staples Center no problem. I haven't tried taking a camera with me in years, but since I'll be up front might be cool to take a couple pics of the Kings.

Your camera sounds as though it will be fine. As long as it doesn't have a detachable lens.

Tell me about it. I try to live tweet from the games but it's so hit and miss for me.

Reception has never been an issue for me in Rexall. Plenty of other places it is though. Also 17000 people trying to access wifi would either be too expeensive to set up or too slow.

Do other buildings around the league have free wifi?
Like T-Funk said free wifi for that many people seems complicated.

Rexall Place is an outdate obsolete dump. Can't wait til we move into that new arena.

I've been to many NHL arenas and all of them (except Nassau Coliseum) are superior to Rexall Place.

Aside from the better concourse, the Saddledome is brutal.

Never been to the Saddledome but I heard bad stuff about it too. Calgary is also getting a new arena for that reason too. I also heard Joe Louis Arena is pretty bad too.

Pretty much any arena built in the 80s and 70s are obsolete.

If I remember right Staples Center has a WiFi hotspot. I know some NFL stadiums do too. When I Googled it, it looked like Northlands was thinking about WiFi in the building as part of the renos.

Really, it wouldn't be complicated to setup. Many cities have hotspots in their downtown cores that allow for infinitely more people than Rexall seats. Downtown Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan have these hotspots.

I'm from calgary and can vouch for that. Good luck getting back to your seats on time if you have to use the washroom.

At least Northlands has had a couple of upgrades, Saddledome has only been repainted without being sanded first. Was quite surprised how bad it looked a few years ago.

I use to work at Rexall and the reception can be terrible. When you have that many people using the same tower it never ends well. Sometimes I would get messages at the end of night that were quite obviously sent hours prior.
