Meet Leo Komarov

The newest super pest to play in the league.

He is truly JFJ's most underrated find for Toronto. Drafted in 2006 in the 6th round, he is a hitting machine and is truly hated by the other teams players.

There is not a single play this season that he's taken off. He's giving it a 100% every single shift and is quickly becoming a fan favorite for us.

He's sort of an unsung hero for us so far this season and deserves his share of appreciation due to the good start we've had so far.

Not only is he a super-pest, but he does that without hurting his team. He doesn't take stupid penalties and is a very good two-way player.

Just a little introduction as he belongs to the same group of players like Vladimir Sobotka and Matt Martin.

Very excited to have him!

Nope.

Stupid calls, not stupid penalties.

7 or 8 hits after 2 periods tonight alone.

Great player. Always give 100% and solid defensively.

They weren't dives. BS calls.

One was clear interference and the other a cross check from Gudbranson after he was pissed when Komarov hit him.

While this thread is completely unnecessary, he's effective at what he does.

Really solid player, he does all the little things well and like OP said, he is a big time hitting machine. I believe he is probably the league in the hitting category.

Any team would love to have this guy on their team.

The first "dive" was a pretty iffy call.

The 2nd was a bit more clear, but I've seen a lot worst not called, especially after a crosscheck.

Looks like Komarov has been watching a few too many Karlsson videos...

This. I don't care either way. The kid is effective at getting under the opponent's skin. He plays his role.

If you get called for diving not once, but twice in the same game, odds are the player is a diver.

^ Given the scoreline, I'd understand that you won't like watching the game. But rather than reading box-score, I insist that you do watch it.

This is a Leafs board material thread, but whatever.

Apparently he even gets under the ref's skin. But on both of those "dives" Florida got a penalty too, which doesn't make much sense... if they were dives and not legit penalties, why did the Florida players get penalized anyway?

And when the second one was a straight up crosscheck from behind?

Going to have to see video of these dives, they don't call it that often so hard to believe it to be 2 bad calls

This is an incredibly weak argument. If someone can get video YouTube evidence it would be nice.
