Ugghhhh... scared to see how they come out for this one in a back-to-back after today's performance. Scared to see what happens.

Just to mess with us they're going to come out and win big tomorrow.. I think the boards will explode if that happens.

Hey, I know that image. I posted it for one of our Slovan friends about what the paper bag meant. Haha.

Alright, today's loss was completely unacceptable. Hopefully we can take advantage of a reeling Sens team.

Is it just me or is every game a must win?

Hockey! We were overlooking Philly with our sights set on OTTAWA.

Islanders - 9
The Other Ontario Team - 1

Well played Truman.

Back to back, no Strait, and Philly just told everyone how to beat our club like the last egg at Dennys. Not looking good.

Ottawa: 5
Uniondale Girl Scouts: 1

A shortened season with a fringe playoff team at best that cant afford to make mistakes every point is going to matter.

Great Job Trumpster!!! Well lets all hope that Dougie W. laid into them as Capuano watched idly. Rick most likely getting the start and a weak D -Strait (maybe our 1st or 2nd best defensive Dmen). I see this obviously going 1 or 2 ways. Either they try hard to get DP a win and come out with a chip on the shoulder after getting smashed by the Flyers or they hang their heads low after losing Strait and again getting lambasted by the Flyers. This should be a very telling game in terms of the mental stability of this team and if they are starting to grow.

JT's 4
Karlsson/Spezza less Sens 2

All I know is that I'm going to get impatient having to wait an extra half hour to watch this.

must win this game. Ottawa also playing two games in a row, so the fatigue excuse can't be used. We just need to come out more hungry than them. They are a vulnerable team, let's do to them what Philly did to us

Honestly I hope they get blown out again to put the nail in Cappy's coffin. Too much slack be cut for this guy and maybe a blowout will finally give Wang the balls to let Snow make the axe. I could care less who you put behind the bench other than Cappy. Like Reasoner it's addition by subtraction...

This.

Also, if we dont score at least 5 goals we lose. With this Isles team the old saying, the best defense is a good offense, has never been more true. The only way they win this game is to stay out of their own zone, plain and simple.

Let's be honest though, the Islanders did not play yesterday. So they should be well-rested after taking the day off.

Oh and this is all that needs to be said:

"It's a matter of, do we want to play as a team, go hard every shift, or do we wait around for Johnny Tavares to score a goal and then say, 'OK, now I'm going to play today, too'?" -Evgeni Nabakov

As I stated before, here comes another extended slide. Isles will not win on this trip. They may eek out a loser point or two. DP will get sunburn tonight, no chance of winning. Dude can barely get up when he goes into the butterfly to attempt a save.

Nabby has quickly become one of my favorite interviews on the team. He pulls no punches, I love that. He's a vet near the end of his career, he doesn't care if he ruffles feathers.

Here is the Staple article with that quote. There is some more in there I think.

I loved it the other day when the reported asked him if he was annoyed he let in two goals and his response was something like "Annoyed? I let in two goals, am I supposed to be happy?". He is hilarious.
