Vaclav Meidl and the Plymouth Whalers will be going against the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL. Also Nick Fugere and the Gatineau Olympiques will be going up against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the QMJHL playoffs.

I'm thinking that both of those teams are going to get wiped, though. OS is the second best team in the OHL and CB is pretty good in the Q as well.

also, it's worth noting that the inexplicably unsigned Pat Jarrett plays for OS.

Plymouth will more then likely fall to OS, though OS is one of my fav. teams in the OHL so I don't have much of a problem with that. I think Gatineau has a pretty good shot at taking cape breton.

The CHL playoffs get underway tonight. The Rockets and Remparts are both in action. I'll be listening to the Rockets\Giants game tonight, actually.

The Remparts are about to go down 1 game to none, as Victoriaville is up 6-3 with about a minute to go. No points for Radulov. Meanwhile, Nick Fugere has a goal and two assists as the Olympiques lead the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 4-3.

Rockets end up falling a little short, and the Giants take game one 4-3.

Shame Weber is out, because I think he could be making a huge difference. The Rockets record WITH him as compared to WITHOUT him is amazing.

Kelowna down 1-0 after 1, but Quebec knocked off Victoriaville 5-1 earlier today, and Radulov had two goals.

Quebec tied the series with Victoriaville last night at 1-1, beating them 5-1. Radulov had the first 2 goals including the game winner.

I always said Shea Weber is a very valuable player and is important to the Rockets. But the Kelowna defense has been terrible in the first two games verses the Vancouver Giants. Without Shea the team has played just terrible. Of the first seven goals against in the two games probly five were defensive mistakes!

Shea must be sitting there and pulling his hair out watching this. As I posted in the Shea Weber injured thread he is 3-5 days away after getting medical clearance. The artical was dated Mar25th and said he might be there for games 3 & 4 Tuesday and Wednesday in Vancouver. I haven't heard if and when he is getting medical clearance.

The Remparts lost 5-2 to Victoriaville tonight, though Radulov did get another goal and is now leading the team in playoff goals with 3. I'm not sure if the QMJHL does the thing where the preliminary rounds are best of five and later rounds are best of seven, but I'm trying to find out. The Tigres now lead the series 2-1.

Kelowna is up 1-0 after the first on Vancouver, with Chris Ray getting the goal assisted by Lauris Darzins.

Wow, barnburner going on in Vancouver tonight. Kelowna was up 3-0, but the Giants have scored 3 unanswered goals to tie the game with 36 seconds left in the second period. The score is tied at 3 going into the third.

Well, the Rockets blow a 3 goal lead and lose 4-3 on a third period PP goal by Andrej Meszaros. The Giants seemed to pretty much control the entire second half of the game and the Rockets never could get anything going offensively after the Giants took over. The Giants now have a 2-1 series lead.

Meidl in the Whalers are close to being eleminated. Other then the first game they've been dominated by Owen Sound. Thats not really all that surprising though. Owen Sound is a far superior team in about every way a team can be better.
