Okay, sweet! I can make it back home without missing any part of the game. No idea why the NHL schedule always has Canucks games when I have class. Makes it hard to watch early games live.

From the TEAM1040 Twitter feed, Rick Ball said that we can expect Booth to be in tonight. Can't post the tweet right now because I'm on my tablet.

According to Brad Ziemer, Booth is on the fourth line, and Volpatti seems to be the odd man out. Schroeder is centering Higgins and Kassian, according to Botchford.

Looks like no Seabrook for the Hawks
just saw these on twitter

Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc
Defenseman Brent Seabrook will not play for #Blackhawks tonight vs. #Canucks.

Dan Murphy ‏@sportsnetmurph
#Blackhawks Seabrook is day to day. Q-Stache asked if Seabrook took a shot in the ribs, and replied he took it "somewhere" #netherregion

I love that lineup on the GDT just what I was thinking. My prediction is that the score will be 4-1 Canucks and the goals:

Kesler
Burrows
Raymond
Edler (Get the Norris Edler time for you to step it up)

Seems like they're sheltering Kesler a bit with those two fast, defensively-aware wingers. He has been on the wrong side of the puck more often than not at ES the last two games. Offensively he's pretty up to speed but defensively definitely not quite up to pace.

Just as I'd expected. Best to ease him in, and make him earn more ice (assuming Kassian works through his inconsistency). And it didn't take long for Kesler to get paired up with Hansen when playing against top competition. Look for some line matching here with Kes against Toews.

Not a bad idea, really. Give him some time to get acclimatized, pair him with two of our better performing two-way players.

Hopefully Schroeder and Kassian can bring their AHL chemistry to the NHL level.

So no Seabrook, Crawford, and Carcillo?
LET'S HAND THEM THEIR FIRST LOSS!

4-2 Canucks win.
Daniel Sedin, Hansen, Kassian, and Edler with the goals.

If the Hawks lose, now they will just say it's because seabrook and crawford are out and that it doesn't count as a real loss.

Are people forgetting our Backup Curse?

The Canucks are talking the talk, hopefully they can walk the walk.

Good call by AV here. Volpatti sits, Booth gets eased in and Kesler stays with Hansen. I also like that he didn't immediately shift Kassian to the 4th line as well.

What do you make of that?

And what is going on with my boy Higgins?

Playing tough minutes on makeshift lines. A lot of that is from when they were the shutdown line with Burr but obviously they're not quite performing to the expected standard.

We at least have Anaheim for tonight because they don't want their record touched. And that one Devils fan. (if you're here, hi Devils fan) Detroit, maybe?

The Higgins-Burrows-Hansen line got killed at the beginning of the season. They were playing fairly tough minutes at the time and none of the three were really playing up to their potential. Burrows has dug himself out of the hole because he's been playing with the Sedins. Hansen has improved a ton because the Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen line was given pretty soft minutes and killed it in terms of possession. Higgins ended upon a line with Lapierre taking on tough zone starts and while he's improved slightly, he's been in a tough position to improve his numbers. Now that he's playing with Kesler I expect it will fix itself shortly.
