Actually, i was looking at the stats and you can really see the difference between the top8 GA teams and the bottom7. The top 8 teams are in the 35-40 goals against range while the bottom 7 are in the 45-55 goals against. Huge difference.[/B]

The reason i point this out is if this continues to be true, i really do believe the Leafs will not only make the playoffs but have a chance for that 4th spot = home advantage.
This is pretty important for the Leafs to keep in mind .. That while Tampa scores a lot of goals, they give up a lot too .. So as long as they stick to their gameplan, stay in position, and make smart plays they'll get their chances .. Just limit Tampa's scoring chances, and avoid getting hemmed in your own zone

Komarov - McClement - Orr/Brown/McLaren

Ideally I'd like Komarov on that 3rd line and MacArthur traded... but I guess the depth is useful (I like Komarov on that 3rd line more than MacArthur, the line is a pain in the ass to play against with Komarov and Kadri on it as well as some good offensive output).

Liles to be a healthy scratch again tonight

I dont think I have been playing up to where I should be playing and that is one of the things we discussed, Liles said on Tuesday morning. He has been very open from Day 1 and this is no different.

He is the coach, and you cant argue with it. Its not the first time it happened and hopefully Ill get back in at some point and keep working hard.

Orr and McLaren playing in the lineup at the same time, is not a good long term strategy. Brown, Fraser, Phaneuf can also drop the mitt's if Orr leaves the lineup.

IF we can limit Stamkos' chances, we might have a shot at the W.

Tough test either way though.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like:
Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
JVR - Kadri - Frattin
Mac - Grabo - Kulemin (let's be honest, Grabo and Kulemin are NOT playing like a 2nd line, time to make it official)
Komarov - McClement - Brown

Just because you havent heard it doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

"At least one week" is Nonis' version of JFJ's "Upper or Lower body injury"

No one is saying this is a long term strategy.

Carlyle approaches each game one at a time. We rarely find out who's going to be scratched or what the lineup will look like at puck drop.

He has a keen eye for talent but I think mostly he just goes by his gut instinct!
