Is the OP a two-way player?

Kane has stepped up and committed this year. Everyone thought he would do it last year but now he looks to have really matured and is asserting himself into his rightful position in the league as one of the top elite players.

The importance of having a complete game can't be understated.

As I said in the GDT last night...

Kaner's ice vision is just getting better and better. I remember arguing with people who said that he had reached his potential last year and the year before. That this is what we were going to get from him - no more.

My point was that the game would continue to slow down for him and then - WATCH THE **** OUT!

I was right and yes, I want a cookie. That pass to Bolland was incredible. The lane he got it through while looking in a different direction...

Then there was the behind the back OT winner to Hossa earlier and a similar play in another game that Hossa couldn't finish.

This is fun to watch.

It's more than him just asserting himself, although it's very apparent that he came ready to go. He's seeing the game differently (better) now. Gretzky used to have this knack.

Don't worry, not saying that Kaner is Gretzky, but very few have the ability to see the play before it happens to the degree that Kane is right now. He could become an assist machine.

He is getting close to Kyle Turris level.

Kanes vision has always been elite since day one when he came into the league. Sure its improved but from the last couple of years, its about the same imo. The difference is hes matured and committed. Im sure his brief stint in Europe has broadened his horizon. It did for me. No I didint play but travelling outside my locality and outside the US for extended trips has an effect on your perspective. Besides the whole team is also clicking around him which helps.

He's pretty much a homeless man's Kyle Turris right now.

If he finishes the season with like, a 100 point pace over 82 games he'll become the poor man's Kyle Turris.

(but seriously, its unreal how good he is)

No Gretzky but more than ever, he is looking like another offensive superstar by the name of Denis Savard. I have been critical of Kane at times, only because it was obvious that he could be as good as he wanted to be. We're still seeing a few turnovers and defensive lapses, and likely always will, but he has turned up the wick.

SPECIAL YOU BET HE IS!

I called it to my buddy (a Hawks fan) and a post on here...Kane may very well go down as the best American of all time if he continues to grow as a player. Most dangerous player in the central by far.

I'm hoping someone takes Kaner out for a few drinks on Broadway before Sunday's game...

Please, Kane doesn't have the intangibles of Turris, lol.

Still early but Kane looks like he could finish top 3 in scoring this year..he is once again the Hawks MVP for sure.

as long as he stays off the sauce, he could be the most dangerous offensive player on the ice in the NHL...yep, I said that.

I still remember the day we drafted Kane like it was yesterday. Once Tallon called his name, I literally jumped through my ceiling...kind of hard to do as I have vaulted ceilings!
