Best 2012 Offseason Signing So Far?

Quarter way through the shortened season, which player has been the best Free Agent signing so far? Take into account salary cap, production, etc.

P.S. Only doing this for players who are playing for a different team.

Ray Whitney
Jaromir Jagr
Ryan Suter
Zach Parise
Brad Boyes
PA Parenteau
Sheldon Souray
Jason Garrison
Jiri Hudler
Sami Salo
Matt Carle
Steve Sullivan
Alex Semin
Scott Hannan
Other

Alternatively, who from the list is the worst?

List was getting a bit long so a few players were left out:
Fedotenko, Pyatt, Montoya, Redden, Gomez, Jokinen (on purpose), Prust, Allen, etc.

Semin. It was only a one year deal but he has looked exceptional out there. Worth every cent of the $7M.

For the Sharks, Brad Stuart

I know we traded for his rights before we signed him, but he was still a FA.

Alex Semin

It was a no-risk signing for the organization because of the term, and it seems to have heavily paid off so far. Semin has been a key contributor for them and they're currently leading their division.

Went with Parenteau. Seems like a bright spot in a gloomy season for Colorado so far.

Voted Semin, any reason Justin Schultz isn't on the list? He's been playing better than at least half of those guys and earns less than almost all of them too.

Wideman hands down, after hearing about how terrible he is defensively when we signed him I was a little worried but the guy has been great. He has 10 points in 13 games and is the biggest reason Calgary has the 3rd most effective power play in the league.

Semin. It's too early to tell if a lifetime contract to Parise is the winner yet, but Semin has done great for his 1 year contract so far.

For real, voted Parise. Case could be made for Semin or Wideman as well. I was pretty skeptical of the Wideman signing, but he's done well for the Flames so far.

If the Avs werent a train wreck PA Parenteau would have a ton of votes. Best value for money/production

I think Salo was a good signing he was leading in +/- and he still has that big shot I miss him in Vancouver way better than Garrison. But if Garrison steps it up then he can prove me wrong hopefully.
