Either way, huge day tomorrow! Red Bull Crashed Ice + UFC Event = Win.
You guys hear the teleconference last week or see the press conference from earlier this week?

I like Diaz's fights because he comes to fight. And I am sure he grew up in a rough environment...but I hope GSP finishes him.

I watched the weigh in and press conference. They are really hyping this one up as a grudge match.

I've never had that. I'll have to try it.

Apple Sauce is like chunky apple juice. Just drink it out of a cup and it's the best drink ever.

The teleconference was gold! I wish for once a hockey player would go off like that.

Cold day for a parade. Bummed a ride on the O'Gara's shuttle downtown and back. Had some cheese curds and mini donuts, then about three bites of a reuben for lunch. And one Guinness. Because someone scheduled friggin rec league hockey at 8pm on St Patty's day.

That was a nice winter. And flood season was easy going too, which is nice considering Fargo came really close to getting completely washed away a few years ago.

I wonder how high the Red River is going to get this year.

Had our last rec league game tonight.

Only nine guys showed up, so we ran two lines at three defensemen. Yikes. And we're the second worst team in the division going up against one of the top teams.

We went down 3-0 early, but came back to tie it up and played like mad. Getting pucks deep, forcing turnovers, slowing down their attack, and our passing improved out of nowhere.

Late in the second, I had a shot and the rebound got kicked out so hard it hit my foot pretty good. Next shift, I jump the boards and land funny on that foot and tweak it, can't push off the toe. Havlat-esque.

They end up scoring early in the third and we kept the game pretty tight. On my last shift, I'm cutting across the goal and the goalie whacks my legs, I take the stick from him into the corner somehow as we get tangled up. We keep the puck in, dump into my corner, I bump the guy off, spin around another, goalie drops, empty net...and I fire high and wide a la Clutterbuck. Just like I did so many times this year.

We ended up losing the game but was a great way to close out the season.

Sucks though because I went from 19 goals last year to just 5 or 6 this year. Not hitting the net, tougher competition, didn't even score until halfway through the season.

Good for my friend though who had a career year and has busted his ass for the team, not missing a single game in six years, led us in scoring for the first time.

I love being short benched, more ice time.

Takes time to adjust to a higher level of play, but you'll see a big improvement.

6 year iron man streak is impressive. Kudos to him.
