Anybody here ever seen Zero Dark Thirty, The Collection, or End of Watch?
Watched it last night. Had higher hopes. Was honestly pretty bored and disappointed with it. I don't want the 'Hollywood' treatment by any means. But it was honestly kind of a snoozer IMO.

Pretty much my thoughts. It was good, but nothing really stuck out. I don't understand how it won so many awards. End of Watch was far better.

Also, we watched the Collection. It was meh. Predictable, gory, and short. There were some deaths that were decent in the "OOOOOHHHHHHH!" kind of way, but it was not as original or as over the top as it could have been and it wasn't as tame as it could have been. Just in the middle and not in a good way.

Overall, I'd go:
Zero Dark Thirty - 7/10
End of Watch - 9/10
The Collection - 6/10

Picked up an Apogee Jam today. Pricey, but I've been playing a ton of guitar into my computer and my house is too small to fire up my crappy amp anyway. Pretty sweet, very quiet, hi-fi.

Will do good to distract me as I attempt to bust out of my excess boozing on the weekends.

Also got some nice dress clothes at JC Penney

It was meant to show the CIA intel aspect. Not the actual raid. I enjoyed it, but then again I love that kind of crap

It won awards because it tears at the emotions of 9/11 and UBL being wanted for nearly 20 years and finally being killed by US. Wasn't a Best Picture and shouldn't of been in there. Argo on the other hand, was amazing.

for the second night in a row nearly got hit in the face with a puck... time to get a half shield. Any recommendations?

If I were going half-shield I'd go Oakley Aviator, but since I don't get paid to play hockey I use a Bauer Titanium Reakt.

SMH at the tugging on emotions. I mean, I get that, but it wasn't even done all that well. Some people are just so easy.

Argo was pretty good. 8/10 for me. I watched it last weekend.

Yeah I watched Argo last weekend too. Very good movie. Best movie of the year? Probably not, but I don't watch a lot of movies. It was a fun film to watch, had a bit of everything in it.

You know you're a Minnesotan when the temp is 48, and you're outside working in a t-shirt, shorts, and sorel boots. Not the prettiest look, but it felt damn good.

Got a pair of metal knee hockey nets for the basement. Came with netting and string. So I spent a solid hour plus stringing up nets.

We rented Dredd today. It was pretty good. Some decent action but it was a bit boring overall. It was like a tame, more guns version of the Raid. Also used my free game rental to get Tomb Raider. Very fun game so far.

I hate telling people what I want to do for career.. They all laugh at me like I'm crazy.

I know it's unrealistic but my friends laugh... Like c'mon.

I wanna work in the NHL.. Coach, GM scout or whatever.

It's not going to be easy but nothing is impossible... Right ?

I don't know anyone who works in hockey... I'll have to make my own road.
