Bruins NESN coverage just had a preview for next Tuesday advertising an upcoming debate on "Are the JETS a playoff contender".

I think if we win tonight and tomorrow, we are a lock for the playoffs. Of course, crazy things happen but I just think that with the amount of games left if we can bang these 2 very winnable games off we position ourselves very well.

Of course, having said this, the Jets should lose 4 in a row to sink to 1 game below .500
That's what I was thinking last night. I remember last year being excited when we were sitting in a playoff spot, but other teams had games in hand on us. But now we seem to have the advantage in games remaining and tie breakers. I'm really enjoying it.

2-0 Buf. What a great opportunity today to continue TOR's woes and start to establish ourselves as a playoff team.

Also just noticed the 4 worst teams in the league are all in the East

We can't let up one bit, however.

Jets need to get about 10 Ws out of last 15 (EDIT/ERROR -21 games left!!) to seal the deal. Thats the magic number give or take a few single points.

So much hockey to watch, can't wait for the April sprint to the finish as I'm going to most of the home games (what up sec 217!!!)

Win tonight and tomorrow and all of a sudden it's an extremely manageable 8 of 13

I thought the season was winding down rather quickly, but not quite that quickly!

10-8-3 or 11-9-1 give the Jets about an 83% chance of making the playoffs, based on historical data.

11-7-3 gives them a 98% chance.

We need 23 points in 21 games for a good chance. 24 will almost certainly seal the deal.

Yeah I started drinking too early I guess.

EDIT - I meant the part about 10 wins however. 11 or 12 would really seal either SE CHAMPIONSHIP or maybe as high as 6th depending on 3-point games.

To think a few weeks ago one of the most popular topics was who we should draft with our inevitable first overall pick.

Regehr and Neil had what was the best fight of the season, AFAIC. Then of course Neil the little ***** throws one with Regehr on the ground, but otherwise it was a great fight. That is how and why fighting is in the the game, not for staged ******** fights.

I really don't like Neil. Not quite to the extent of my dislike for Torres/Marchand/Lapierre, but still...big-time dislike for Neil

Punching him on the ice was a total cheapshot.

Damnit, Buffalo. You couldn't keep the Sens down.

Absolute rocket of a shot from Turris on the PP from a sharp angle - top shelf to win it 4-3 in OT. Hate the result, but loved the goal.

That are REALLY cool - it's unfortunate that they're playing Detroit though. The two uniforms "clash". They should have played the Kings. It's really quite interesting: the tan colour is very strange to see out there, as muted colours like that just aren't used in sports much. I like 'em - if I were a Vancouver fan, I'd pick one up for sure.

I'm not really a fan of the creme pants, they seem kind of feminine but that's just me

Check out this vid of Schneider's Millionaires goalie mask - pretty sweet. Almost looks like a hotrod paint job:

Great fight!! Love Neil! Guy is a tank getting old though and not as chippy as before but still a decent grinder/fighter/role player.

Hahah, I just saw the Sabres/Caps GDT on the Caps forum. You lose- no you lose, we want first overall! Gonna be tough to wrestle it from the Panthers though. April shall be a good month.

Think that was goalie interference on that last Caps goal.
