Hard to say. I think he will keep putting up good numbers as he usually does.
His worst production year was 07-08 with 42pts in 63 games with a -18.

I think his downfall is his playoff performance the last three seasons. He has not made an impact in the playoffs since the 08-09 campaign where he was a point per game on average.

Even if he only averages around 50 pts a year and one or two of 70+, I think he would be worth the risk based on what he has accomplished thus far. JMO

Ya I agree. Every Bruin game I have watched so far this season he looks flat and sluggish compaired to last season.

Huh. Turned on the Ottawa game just in time to see Condra take a puck to the face.

TSN Inisder Trading suggested you may see some sort of deal between Philly and Ana. They said the key guys in the deal would be Ryan for Couturier.

The Flyers organization has looooong coveted Bobby Ryan. I remember back at the time of the 2005 NHL draft they wanted him. There are connections there from Bobby Ryan's father to Bob Clarke.

Wouldn't it be ironic of Couturier was dealt. How could a superstar like that be traded so early? Oh how the mighty will have fallen. Joking aside, I understand just because a player is traded, it doesn't speak negatively about him. And yes, I think right now a young Sean Couturier is caught in a very difficult situation with the mess the Flyers have become. But for all of those who ranted and raved about Sean Couturier last season, only to see his play regress this season to 2 goals in 29 games and just 7 points, then possibly be traded, etc. Not to start that debate, but let's just say I am more than happy with Mark Scheifele.

There is going to have to be a BIG + from Philly in that trade...

Couturier would likely flourish under the tutelage of Getzlaf, Perry, and Selanne, if he continues beyond this year. Boudreau is probably a better coach for rookies than Laviolette, anyways. This could be marvelous for Anaheim, as Couturier's stock is pretty low right now.

Re; Iginla, for fun I'll go by Bob McKenzies' deemed asking price - Calgary Flames are looking for three elements: a first round pick, a primary prospect and a secondary prospect.

Boston - Subban/Spooner, Khokhlachev/Griffith, 1st.

Chicago - Saad/Teravainen, Hayes/McNeil, 1st.

LA - Bernier, Toffoli/Forbort, 1st.

Maybe that's too rich, but I think a couple of those pieces would likely be involved. And if there is a bidding war, things could get really interesting. I have a feeling Calgary will demand the main piece in return to be a young goaltender, whether it be Malcom Subban or Jonathan Bernier.

I think it's between LA and Boston, in my opinion. Interested in seeing how it plays out and what each team gets.

That much for a rental player, though? I heard reports that they're looking for Calgary to sign Iginla to a 2 year contract extension before trying to trade for him. I agree that the picks and prospects are LAs and Boston's to use, though - it's not like they're going to need the shoring of their prospect pool anytime soon.

I believe the reports, though I could be mistaken, were that once a deal is reached, Iginla will then negotiate an extension with the new team, or, have one in place anyhow. I don't know what can "rightfully" be done within the game in terms of negotiating contracts with players on other teams, but surely there could be a "wink-wink" negotiation. Or, as you say, perhaps Iginla and Calgary sign the deal that the new team would agree to.

I think the general consensus has been Iginla doesn't want to be a rental, I'm not sure if the plan would be for Calgary to extend him first or just some sort of handshake deal with the new team but it sounds like he'd stick around.

edit:

Or ya know, exactly what the post above says

Hard call. The runor is He is being traded for bobby Ryan. Which shows his stock and what Anaheim deems his potential. It's not like he is being traded for Dan Carrillo or something lol. But then again this is only a rumour.
