Think the same package that was in play for Iginla, or will it be better? Remember that Feaster isn't involved this time.

Tomorrow should be pretty boring! All the big moves are being made today apparently!

Jagr to Boston is just about done.

Be funny if Wardo was the one who tweeted it.

I made that joke in another topic. What will the stuffed shirts on the TSN tradecentre panel talk about now?

Breaking news - Bob McKenzie ordered Thai for lunch, more to follow

On a serious note, with all of these big moves being made today it leaves some room for teams trying to make 1 or 2 final smaller moves to shore up their needs (Or a few desperate teams trying to get anything they can). The same kind of players that the Jets may either be looking to move or acquire.

It may be an overall boring day for the league, but it COULD be an exciting day for us Jets fans.

@NHLonTSN: Jagr to Bruins for 2 prospects and a pick. Details to come.

Interesting...that is mighty expensive to be paying for basically a rental.

See this is posted elsewhere already...couple minutes earlier.

To be fair, this is Jagorim Jarg we're talking about here. He will give the Bruins some much needed punch on their 2nd line, because their scoring is **** right now.

If the Jets are the only team to make a move that day, we'll have our team analyzed all day long by the TSN experts

I think Clowe can turn it around in New York. He clearly needed out of SJ given his lack of production. We'll see how he does.

This is really cool, some behind the scenes things about how trades are made official...

Cool video. What an awesome job that would be.

On an unrelated note, can someone tell me why Craig Button pronounces Jay Bouwmeester as Boo-meester? Am I missing something here?

I'd kill to have a job like that. I am still working out on how to become a scout for a WHL/AHL/NHL/ANY team...starting there and working my way up to management would be beyond belief my favorite job path in life...

Joni Pitkanen out for 3 months after falling feet first into the boards on an icing. Looks like a significant knee injury.

I never want to see someone hurt but that is good news (I guess) for the Jets playoff chances. You have to figure Carolina is done. We are going to have to beat out Washington for the post season. With the way this team is playing, I have zero confidence we will.

I was flipping between games and saw that. I feel bad for the Canes this year. Everything they added in the offseason was offset by all the key injuries.
Of course I want the Jets to hold onto third, but if they get passed by, it will suck much worse if it's by the Caps.

Hybrid icing, clap clap clapclapclap

Seriously, I've had enough with those injuries. Hope he gets better soon.

I wouldn't mind if they just go ahead and switch to no touch icing like almost every other league. The hybrid icing rule will piss people off for years considering the amount of obvious judgement calls the officials will have to make. And while they're changing the icing rules, take away the no icing on the penalty kill too.

Biggest trade these hours:

Boston:
Flick

Chicago:
Sauve

BIG deal!

*edit*

and just about one minute later Scott Hannan goes to the sharks. They're trying to pick on me I guess.

This whole annual tradecentre/TSN is just ridiculous overkill now.

Its a self-perpetuating non-event for all those sports journalists, who have to justify and validate their employment/existence.

But for some reason it still brings in millions to watch (myself included).

Remember that Simpsons "treehouse of horror" episode with the giant advertising monsters? "Just don't look!" and maybe the hype will go away?

Yes, I'm pretty sure the ratings destroy the British Darts Tour or whatever they show during a normal day.
