I don't think Scrivens is bad. One only has to take a look at his two shutouts in a row to see that he isn't. This game just shows you why he's a backup. Good enough to play in the NHL, but just not consistent enough game to game. Still, he's played pretty well and given the team a chance to win most nights.
Won us a game lost us this game. That cannot happen in the NHL. That's atrocious
Oh come on, stop overreacting. It happens all the damned time and happens to great goalies as well. Brodeur is a legend but has had some stinkers. Did you ever see Roy's last game for Montreal? Would you say the same about them as you just did about Scrivens?
Scrivens has played well since taking over for Reimer and has pitched shutouts in his last two games. So what if he has a bad game tonight? It happens and it happens to the best in the world too. No big deal and no need for people to overreact as Leafs fans are wont to do. They are still in the top ten in the league - this isn't the end of the world.
