I guess Stalberg would be logical to fill in... although Kane could work

Sharp Toews Kane could get Sharp hot again.

I'm not sure who I would want from Rockford.
Smith, Morin, Hayes & Pirri are all deserving.

I think I would pick Hayes because I like his size. All of those players are deserving.

Well isn't Carcillo due back real soon? Maybe it's as simple as that. He's not the same type of player as Hossa is, no one is, but he was slated to be a Top 6 guy on this team to start the year.

I'm not sure it is that simple...but lets run with that idea and try to make Carcillo work.

Saad Toews Kane
Shaw Bolland Sharp
Bickell Kruger Stalberg
Carcillo Mayers Frolik

I don't think you break up Sharp/Kane at this point. Saad/Toews/Stalberg seems more likely, even though that's not much of a top line. Toews/Stalberg almost had a nifty goal in tonight's game, for what it's worth.

Personally, I'd go with:

Saad Toews Sharp
Stalberg Bolland Kane
Bickell Shaw Carcillo
Mayers Kruger Frolik

or

Saad Toews Sharp
Carcillo Bolland Kane
Bickell Shaw Stalberg
Mayers Kruger Frolik

You might be right about not breaking up Sharp/Kane, but Saad seems to move the puck around well, and Toews would certainly look to get the puck to Sharp too. It may not be so bad. I don't like Stalberg with Saad and Toews. Saad plays well, but hasn't gotten that finishing touch yet, and Stalberg doesn't have it consistently either. He has moments, but it's not his strength. That would make our first line considerably less scary.

I like your second line up the best. I think Bolland and Kane have worked well together. Kane has had ridiculous feeds to Bolland and Bolland has finished and looked like a different player with Kane.

Stalberg pretty much has to play only RW the way I see it. I like him on the third line.

Carcillo I think you have to play him at LW although he can play both wings.

Carcillo Bolland Kane is a legitimate second line and Sharp on the first line with Toews is legit as well.

bump up Stalberg and Krüger on the lineup for next game. It's against the Sharks and somehow, Krüger shows offense against them

I like a Carcillo/Bolland/Kane line but the only reason I hesitate is that Sharp is finally getting off the schneid with Kane's amazing dishes being the primary reason behind it. Not that Toews isn't capable of doing the same, but Kane's a disgusting criminal with how nastily he passes.

What I would like to see:
Saad-Toews-Shaw
Sharp-Bolland-Kane
Bickell-Kruger-Frolik
Stalberg-Mayers-Bollig/Carcillo

What it will probably be:
Saad-Toews-Stalberg
Sharp-Bolland-Kane
Bickell-Shaw-Carcillo/Mayers
Bollig/Mayers-Kruger-Frolik

I agree any linemate that loses Patrick Kane suffers. Toews is not capable of assisting or passing like Kane. Kane is simply dirty on back door passes.

I think you disrupt as little as possible right now - especially the 3rd and 4th lines who are really playing a solid consistent game right now. If Carcillo is ready to play - insert him into the top-6, if not - call up Morin.

Anyone know why the Hawks roster on their website shows 25 players and nobody listed as injured? Montador and Carcillo have to be on IR since they have not been on any game sheet listed as a scratch, but I don't remember hearing about Carcillo being listed on the IR.

If Hossa can't play Friday, and Crawford isn't ready to come back, someone will have to be sent down to allow Carcillo to come off IR if that's what they plan to do. You definitely can't put Mayers and Bollig both in somewhere and expect them to make up for Hossa being out. Carcillo at least has the skill to hang with the top lines. Saad-Toews-Carcillo would be a decent first line.

My guess is that unless Crawford is ready to go, then Bollig will have to be sent down for a bit to make room for Carcillo until the Crawford/Karlsson switch can be made.

I think Carcillo is good to go but just wasn't inserted in because the team's been playing well. Any games Hossa misses should have Carcillo in the lineup.

Monty and Carcillo are/were on the IR. Karlsson is the "24th" guy on the roster.

Switch Carcillo and Hossa.

Hossa going out shouldn't transpire seven changes. You will lack a little production, but Carcillo has held his own in the top-six before. They are 13-0-3, so the least amount of change, the better.

I'd like to see Carcillo or a prospect up on the Toews line, time for Toews to step up to beast mode and carry the line himself, which he is perfectly capable of.

They should send Karlsson down and just have Crawford backup Emery the next 2 games against the Sharks & Jackets. Not sure on the other roster things that you mentioned.

Give Morin a shot. Kid has the shot to replace Hossa's.
