Driver problem?

My computer has been going crazy for the past three months or so. Either it drops the resolution to 640 X 480 or it just freezes and eventually restarts on its own. I fixed the problem once after a link came up for the NVIDIA driver that I needed. Since then I've had to reinstall everything (seperate problem) and now it's happening again. Anyway, the link from Microsoft hasn't come up this time and I'm not sure which driver to download, or if that's even the problem.

Any ideas?

You could use Windows Update, it usually also searches for new drivers for your graphic card.
Simpler approach, go to Control Panel and look which card you have in the Device Manager. Then go to Nvidia's homepage and look for the appropriate driver.

Thanks for the response, but I haven't had any success updating the driver with Windows. Tells me that no newer versions are available, which I doubt since my computer is from 2001. I also tried to figure out the driver myself, but installed 2 already that weren't right.

If you have a TNT2 or later, grab the Detonator driver from Nvidia's site. The one on Windows Update is usually quite old.
