I'm enjoying this ride, but ultimately, this won't mean much if we can't finish it off with a cup. It's all about that cup.

Its strange seeing a happy coldsteel

Go Hawks! Havn't had this much fun listening to Hawks games on the radio and watching them on TV since the 08-09 season.

Rolling 3 full dpairs, 4 full lines and an undefeated backup goalie...man this is just awesome!

Fans sometimes confuse the way players need to think with the way they should think.

Players have to convince themselves that nothing matters but the Cup to keep themselves motivated to play game after game, never resting on their accomplishments.

Fans are free to enjoy all the steps.

Just wait till first regular season regulation loss.... they will be out in full force.

on a side note who takes credit for this... to end last season there was a noticeable rift in management in my eyes... between Bowman and Q, so at least in my head it went down something like this..

Bowman says we have coaching issues... gives Q final decision, Q fired Havey.. a Big F U to stan....basically setting up Q to if they suck this year he will get fired...

Now they are 13-0-3.....

I am sure there will be a thread on the main board, when it happens. Every team it seems had some type of "time to blow them up - this team sucks" thread after a loss. I guess we'll get one too.

That's the one thing I never understood. When things are going really good and especially after a win, nobody should be getting too bent out of shape about anything.

Main Board=

Impossible to have legitimate hockey discussions there.

As a huge Illini fan, this is 100% true. All of the great things that happened with the 05 Basketball team meant nothing because they fell just a few shots short. Same with that 06 Bears team. You can look back fondly, but always with regret. This Hawks season will be the same if they can't win it all.

25-2-7 with Oduya in the lineup to date, I believe. Soak it in, Coldsteel.

Yeah, I'm only interested in total team wins, not record on Tuesdays and stuff like that, the Oduya stat is impressive but we all know the Hawks were in dire need of wins late and came through, plus we're undefeated with Brookbank, get back to me in two or three years on something like that. He's played well this year, no doubt, but as I said at the time of the trade, knew and know, he is streaky. We've seen both sides and will again, these guys are who they are. Nevertheless, when the team is playing this well with this determination and focus, it doesn't matter. The core talent and the young guys like Saad, Leddy and Kruger are all too relentless not to make this team consistent. Role players have a simple task, don't make mistakes, just play as solid and conservative as you can.

That was one where you knew he did it 100 times in practice and it was planned out from the start. That's what you want in these things, keep going with him.

Oduya proves that giving up a 2nd and 3rd (with a chance of about 25% to make it to 100+ NHL games combined) is worth it.
