HFCaps is pretty small compared to the rest of the boards. 97 participating in a poll seems about right.

Alright, I usually just lurk, but I'll vote.

George needs to go. He's not the worst GM in the world, but he has had far too much time. He doesn't seem to have the vision to build a champion.

It's a risk that we end up with someone worse, but it's time to try someone new.

The thing is, with where the Caps are right now, a new GM wouldn't even have to be good for long. They're still within a potential single offseason/trade deadline of being right there.

I didn't vote either. I knew what the results would be and didn't see the point.

I think it's safe to say the poll has ended.

I actually found it interesting... not the totals, but who voted no.

I believe you are missing the context of my post.

When you first responded the vote total was 79 to 18 I believe. The originator of the poll jokingly changed it so it said 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 to 18. That is what I was responding to. The vote total has been changed back now and I assume is what you saw.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ah, got it. Correct, I didn't seem the false (true???) numbers. My bad man, didn't mean to come off aggro....if I did.

Appreciate the clarification!

While its early and things need to play out perhaps, George has dumped a jigsaw puzzle on Oates that cannot possibly be fully solved. Pieces from another puzzle mixed in.

Oates does not help, in that he doesn't start assembling the easy border first. He has been static in his approach in solving it and has a few wrong pieces together.

I think the opposite of most, the long break will be more like a vacation and time to pat ourselves on the back for assembling a deep lineup. So deep, that we have Erat on 4, 11 D in Hershey. 2 Starting Goalies.

I think its a fine time to look in the mirror and address the obvious issues of our lineup but its far too early for Oates to pull the plug. Give Erat on 4 time.
