I think we should just keep it at 50, and as Nudge said, don't count entry draft prospects, as they do not have pro contracts. Some of the prospects we are drafting now don't either, but the regular draft is our "pro" draft, so we put all prospects drafted now in that category.
Exactly,

The only thing is if we count entry pick(unsigned player) in the 50, we should bring the number by 5 till we reach 70. Either way we should have a minimum of 50.

I'm still wondering what the thought process was behind that when a #1 defenseman in Justin Faulk went right after and you look at some of the other players in that round. Your team would've been much better off without picking Dorsett so high but still managed to not be too bad.

Hahaha right?! Well I'm sure as you noticed I drafted some similar players I already have in the other pool. I had my heart set on getting Dorsette as he was ranked 2nd behind prust in fantasy goons on 2 sites I checked. Being that he is young and can also contribute on pp/pk and hits n puts up good pimnumbers... at the time didnt want to risk letting him slip away from me. However you look at Prust and he went in like the 11th round or so. So even if I waited a round or two I may have missed him. But a player like Chris Stewart (8thround) or Matt Read would of actually appealed to me more.

I remember hoping stewart would slip to me in the 8th. But oh well whats done is done. Lets hope Dorsett can stay healthy for me next year and get me some big points!

LAK just drafted Paille but he's been listed as being on my roster since I took over this team. However, I don't see his name on the draft board. Help?

I mixed up Gionta and Paille I believe. I clearly remember autoing Ottawa Paille.. I autoed Anaheim Gionta later. So Paille is Ottawa's, and Gionta is Anaheim's.

The San Jose Sharks BLUELINE Report:

Marek Zidlicky - Derek Morris
Eric Brewer - Jan Hejda
Sami Salo - Chris Phillips
John Erskine

Six of the seven veteran defensemen are under one-way, multi-year contracts with decent stats in several categories. For those who may question the future of the defensive core, four of the following five have NHL ice time, every one of the five under two-way RFA contracts:

Michael Stone
Tomas Kundratek
Colby Robak
Dmitri Korobov
Mikko Vainonen

While the forwards are younger and the heart of the squad, the blueline is by no means deficient. What it lacks in a superstar it makes up in solid, producing depth, both veteran and youth. There are no unsigned prospects because the GM of this team thinks that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush: it's better to draft a third round pick who has developed nicely and been signed to an NHL two-way contract than to get a mid-first round pick teenager! (Of course a high first round pick is usually can't miss, but beyond that, it's a 50/50 crapshoot with drafting teenagers in terms of whether they will develop or not, make the jump and get signed, let alone ever play an NHL game. You can try to swing for a home run at every pitch or take a base hit and advance on runs. The Sharks choose the latter.)

ForwardsDustin Penner - Sidney Crosby - Jakob Silfverberg
Thomas Vanek - Mika Zibanejad - Nikolai Kulemin
Ville Leino - Chris Kelly - David Moss
Daniel Paille - Darren Helm - Zac Dalpe

DefencemenJared Cowen - Kevin Shattenkirk
Tim Gleason - Christian Ehrhoff
Toni Lydman - Jake Muzzin

GoaliesCraig Anderson

Joakim Andersson

Matt Fraser

ProspectsTyler Johnson (Could play next year)
Joey Hishon
Griffin Reinhart
Brandon Gormley (Could play next year)
Magnus Hellberg

Massively happy with this team backed by Crosby and some of the most promising young defencemen in the league (Shattenkirk, Cowen, Gormley, Reinhart, Muzzin, Hickey). Offense is no issue with powerhouses Crosby and Vanek leading the way with potential from Penner and Leino to return to form, upside from Zibanejad, Silfverberg and Dalpe while also having two of the best offensive defensemen in the league in Ehrhoff and Shattenkirk to anchor the team. A lot of guys on the team eat minutes and there is potential for some physicality there from guys like Cowen, Penner, Kulemin, Zibanejad, Moss and even Helm chipping in physically.

Goaltending is strong too with two very good prospects and arguably the best goalie in the league this year. If Anderson can stay healthy he is a workhorse that puts up fantastic numbers.

This team will contend now, and get even better in the future.

Roster

Fowards
Alex Tanguay - Jamie Benn - Bobby Ryan
T.J. Oshie - Joe Pavelski - Mikkel Boedker
Jamie McGinn - Martin Hanzal - Peter Mueller
Craig Smith - Josh Bailey - Drew Shore

Defensemen
Jack Johnson - Matt Niskanen
Korbinian Holzer - Marco Scandella

Goalies
Kevin Poulin

Prospects
Brock Nelson
Alexander Kocklachev
Ondrej Palat
Pontus Aberg
Oscar Lindberg
Hampus Lindholm
Jarred Tinordi
Michael Matheson
Mikael Vickstrand
John Klingberg
Zach Trotman
Matt Hackett
Johan Gustafsson
Frederik Andersson

My roster is defenetly awkward right now, but I'm happy about it. My strategy was to go on value pick and not only thinking about filing my roster. It might sounds weird, but hopefully I'll contend next year with some twiking and some prospect playing in the big level. I'm really happy about my prospects, theres alot of NHLer in there. I think my offense is awesome, allround, gritty, young with potentiel for more in alot of case. Defense might be ok if I'm lucky and two of Lindholm, Tinordi, Trotman make it next year but I might have to wait 1 more year for those guys. Goalies are a total crapshot. All four have a decent chance to be in the NHL next year, but none will be #1...

I'll see witch moves I'll do at next year training camp, but like I said, I'm hoping to contend next year.

Bold = Willing to trade

We are happy with our young core, however would like to improve our right winger depth, and our bottom six.
Many pieces are available, we will not be listening to offers concerning Taylor Hall, Tyler Ennis, Nazem Kadri or Keith Yandle. All other players even unbolded could be had for the right price, Including Jonathan Quick, Tyler Myers and David Desharnais.

Drew shore is a center. SO for that reason alone he's not qualified to play on the wings.
So that mean Shore is your 5th center (bench player). Someone is missing a wing !!

Oh cool, I put Bailey at center even if he was a winger, that's nice to know, I'll change it

Roster
Max Pacioretty-Mikko Koivu-Justin Williams
David Booth-Mikael Granlund-Pascal Dupuis
Brett Connolly-Stephen Weiss-Jaromir Jagr
Tommy Wingels-Nate Thompson-Jack Skille
Extra: Tom Sestito

Mark Streit-Alex Pietrangelo
Ladislav Smid-David Schlemko
Alexei Emelin-Chris Tanev
Extra: Jordie Benn
Extra: Zach Redmond

Jaroslav Halak
Thomas Greiss

Prospects:

1. Evgeni Kuznetsov
2. Nicklas Jensen
3. Frankie Corrado
4. Stephane Da Costa
5. Alex Stalock
6. Anthony Camara
7. Brandon Kozun
8. Mark Dekanich

Really happy with my centres and defense. Halak is struggling which has me concerned, as Greiss is a decent back up, but is the type of player who plays 15 or so games a year max. My wingers after Pacioretty aren't great on the top 3 lines, but you have to pick a place of weakness, and I feel centre and D are more essential positions. Love my 4th line, lot's of hits and good players who drive the play. And think I got a real steal in Kuznetsov. He most likely won't play next season, but he'll make it worth the wait when he arrives. He's got special talent. Brett Connolly was another pick that I feel good about. He's got decent potential as a scorer and I was happy he was still around when I got him.
