EDIT.. Sorry, the formatting looks so much prettier on my end...
Oh man. I hate word searches. What is the theme?

Thanks! I love me some graphs

Interesting on the goalie numbers. Anyone with a better save % than Varly has a worse GAA and vice versa.

I really doubt Varly gets nominated for Vezina. Basically he won't get nominated due to Roy's influence on the team being put in higher regard.
At the same time though Roy will not be nominated for Jack Adams cause Varly was so good.

Doesn't sound logical? It won't be.

Actually I completely agree with that. It's called western conference logic. And then MacKinnon won't get nominated because of Roy and Varly.

Imagine what Varly could do with some actual defensive talent. He has bailed the Avs out too many times this season.

He would have a lot more shutouts. We would be one of the top teams. I know that sounds weird when you're 6th in the league and still not one of the top teams

I remember game one against the Ducks when they were up like 6-0 and they scored that last second goal to rob him of a shutout... I was like, well this is the type of season he's gonna have lol.

Really unfair man. He and Miller are being robbed of shutouts by ****** blue lines.

1 more win and he sets a career record in wins in a season. He's 4 wins away from his first 30-win NHL season. 7 more wins and he hits 100 career NHL wins. This is a big year for Varly and he can drag this team into playoffs. His mental strength is crazy strong. He bounces back from bad goals and bad games with ease.

That's one of the overlooked things about him. He knows he's good and Roy knows he's good. It works

Lol I still think that goal is the reason Roy lost his mind. As a goalie he knows how much it sucks to lose your shutout just like that. He felt for him, and the Lovejoy thing just put him over the top lol.

This sounds like when two teammates steal votes from each other in MVP voting but more insane.

The Lovejoy thing happened before the last goal. I'm sure it all added up though.

Was perusing some advanced stats. Team's save percentage is over .960 with a one goal lead. That's some mental strength.

Varlamov's quote in the Denver Post when he came back to Denver,

Quote:
"Sorry I didn't bring my Gold medal with me".
It was a joke, but to me it has rings of a psychotic tone to it.

Or... maybe he meant "bring A gold medal back with me." You know, since his English kind of sucks, and that would be a perfectly normal sentiment to have...

The real question is what happened to the gold medal? Did he drown it in a puddle?

Anyone listen to Dater's most recent podcast? I tried but just couldn't do it. I don't have the patience for the stuttering and inability to form a sentence. Apparently Dater was questioning Varly's intelligence at one point during the podcast, is that true?

I listened to the middle, the part about the deadline. Yes he did say he doesn't think Varly is intelligent. Didn't say why.

Dater doesn't like EJ or Varly. Never gives either any credit and can't wait to pile on them.

Seems like an odd thing to do, calling Varly unintelligent. If he wonders why Roy doesn't seem to like him then maybe he should listen to himself speak.

I thought someone said EJ told Dater what he thought of him. And it wasn't nice.
