Could this crowd be more quiet? So boring...Not sure if I'm just biased cause it's Minny but I can barely even focus on the game.

I don't disagree with Keenan. 100% correct.

For those saying this is classic Wild hockey...have you watched the Oilers this year? 80 percent of their games have been boring.

The call should be made. Even if this means our d-man goes to the box.

SOMEBODY MUST PAY!

Don't want to crap on J Schultz but he's definitely been less of a factor these last few games. Early in the season he was EASILY one of the best players for the Oilers and one of the main reasons they were hanging in there early on.

He's definitely less noticeable lately though. To be expected in his rookie season of course but without much offense and puck support from Justin... very hard to get much consistency in terms of offense from the team. I think the PP taking a step back in efficiency is linked to that as well.

I hope he can pick it up again but I realize he's doing well just to get used to NHL calibre competition and it'll take time to start moving up to that next level again after teams have obviously adjusted and adapted their gameplans to contain the only offensive threat on the Oilers from the blueline.

Hickey scores in OT. Cue a bunch of fans saying we should have picked him up.

Nail needs to show some gamebreaking ability on the rush, I haven't seen that from him this season. RNH needed to pot at least one of those chances, Eberle had his best period in awhile and I saw him backchecking like a demon on one play, hopefully the point got across to him.

They are suppressing our first transition with a three man forcheck and making sure they bring a guy dead on down the middle to remove our pressure release pass there from the boards, so we need to consider ringing the boards because they are spread out laterally three wide and are weakest on the wings because of the commitment to the middle, maybe ringing the puck and using that little tip pass to spring guys on breakaways might work well. But we need to either take back the middle or isolate a wing and use the boards to ring the puck out, they are overcommitting to create that type of pressure and as long as we can get the puck past their 3 man push we have the advantage so if we do get it past its now perfect because their d-men are playing up high on our blueline and are there early to support the forcheck so they are set and flatfooted, if we put a man on the half boards and spit the puck to him from behind the net through their pressure we are going to force their d-man to decide to step up or fall back, once we get him panicing from the halfboard support then we can get that man to use a tip pass to a forward breaking up the middle and they are toast. We just need to keep it out of the middle at all costs in our mid d-zone , we can use the middle high in the zone near the blueline to initiate a crisscross cycle and the give and go off the halfwall.when we try to beat their forecheck as they are pressuring us there, we need to ring the boards and usethe half wall play tipping to a streaking forward. And we can also cleanly hammer them behind the net because they are sending the deep forcheck in so fast we can time them and let them engage and then as long as we dont charge we can slam them a few times and make them pay for being there, they expect us to scramble back there , maybe we should set up the huge hit a few times in a row and get some respect. I prefer the ring it to the half wall man to the breakout rush off a tip pass or give and go crisscross style.

Wow this is boring. Some very light hooking by the Wild; what better way than to compete with a quick team?

Remember when it seemed like all the Edm-Minn games were PPV?

Other than a good shot and fast passes not to much from him, and I don't see the Bure comparison at all, he does not look that fast tbh.

This Wild team is completely beatable. These are the types of games that will really hurt to lose... especially on home ice.

So they ****ing well better not lose. Time to go from hoping and being optimistic that they'll win to threatening them not to lose this.

He has it, though, that's what pisses me off so much. It's like he's being told to be tentative or something. Give him the green light for a game just to see what happens.

Looked like Eager was checking the back of his leg for a cut almost.

That skate caught Eager in the back of the leg, I dunno how they didn't see that on the replay....I don't think it cut through though.

Eager is an idiot. If he had skated away when his stick was grabbed we'd be on the PP.

Good hit though
