Fistric and Peckham? Well, I know one thing, I'll be watching. Can't say Im thrilled with all the changes and switching around on D this year. We aren't talented enough to just throw anybody out with anybody else and think it's going to be clear sailing. Although the biggest problem is a top four horse to count on.
Eberle has to start showing up. Mr. clutch has been MIA far too often this year. Dubnyk has to have a strong game. I hope the team has a lot more energy than last game. Not sure what went wrong but I didn't think our team had its skating legs.
Must win. Not for the team but for my confidence in this season. lol
QUOTE=spot;60162035]Until this team ices a more balanced attack, especially in our top 6 I don't think we will see enough offence. I think we need to get Eberle and Yakupov going.
I would like to see these lines:
Hall Gagner Hemsky
Eberle Hopkins Yakupov
PRV Belanger Harti
Smyth VV Eager
My thoughts exactly, maybe this might work as well,
Hall-Nuge-Hemsky -- nobody has elite left and right d-men this speed kills
MPS-Gagner-Yakupov -- Yakupov needs Gagners leadership and they both need MPSs size, speed, and defensive mindset
Hartikainen-Belanger-Eberle -- Ebbs needs the puck to score and bellanger will give it to him, Ebbs cuts into lanes well and with Hartikainen paving the way he should see lots of holes in the defense
Smyth-VV-Eager -- Smyth needs to kickstart his goal scoring and cant manage it but with bigger stronger linemates he can be more of a passer and focus on that he is very underrated as a passer and VV has an excellent shot and he and Eager should be able to use their size to force their ways in to the shooting lanes.
I smell dump and chase hockey from Ralph tonight. Big mistake we need to stay offensively focused and use the transitions better from the middle with lateral support entering the o-zone utilising short give and gos incorporating an upspeed support man coming into the playaction late to finish plays at the net. It will be a boring game and low scoring I say 2-1 with all the scoring in the 1st period then final of 3-1 Wild with them scoring an empty netter after Ralph pulls the goalie with 3 mins on the clock, ha ha ha. We wont be able to generate second shots just like last game and for the same basic reasons, never mind everyone was watching last gm after our 56 shot explosion to see if we could repeat it and they all saw us shut down completely, we kind of exposed ourselves a little there.
When I think about the system Ralph is using I visualise the Emporers New Clothes for some reason
Ralph does know the adjusted hybrid well and is showing it tonight, I hate the system but you gotta like the guy, he is hard working and resourcefull.
It looks like Ralph decided to reset the bottom 6 and keep his top 6 consistant to what was working, that is excellent gamesmanship being displayed, Ralph is going to use his muscle to earn the right to play the offense his team needs so badly, and he is going to use his major muscle masses to do the work, verrry smart.
The potential scoring from greasy goals looks great in the bottom 6 now. We are going to grind them down with our energy and netfront pressure from the bottom 6, it will be hard to be worked over by those 6 guys in front of the net for 60 mins and then skate with and defend against the top 6. Tired guys take more penaltys, and this means our big muscles will wear them down and they will try to clutch and grab the speedsters.Nicely played Ralph Krueger. Welcome back Theo, keep it tight out there and earn your minutes.
