Okay, while I'm sick at the thought of both teams in the finals, I've learned to hate Edina so much more. As a "temporary" HM fan, I think it's only fair that the hornets dingleberries put Luongo in net for the 2nd. He's probably in the building anyway.

Make it happen!

I am not that up to date on high school hockey like I am college and the NHL, but is the state tournament dominated by the cities teams that have a lot of backers that throw big money at the top programs?

I think the big problem most people have is that in the Single A conference or bracket or whatever you want too call it...it's dominated by private schools that pretty obviously "recruit" and thus have teams that are so much better than the competition that it's not really fun for either side.

I mean in the Apollo game...50-3 shots. 50-3.

All the big guns in the AA bracket beat on eachother enough that you usually have some surprise...however it is usually a combination of the big guys (Minnetonka, Wayzata, Edina, Duluth East, etc. or your private schools such as Hill or BSM)

Not too many Cinderella stories really.

Hornets win!

It's lonely at the top.

Giles has done a heck of a job with that program. They had a drought from my high school years through the mid-2000's, and now two championships, a runner-up, and a couple top four finishes.

**** both teams. Edina for always winning and STA playing in a conference they shouldn't be playing in. ********* call at the end of that game to decide the state tourney. Shame on the refs

Kind of sad, but not much anyone can do I suppose. I just think it is my naivety that makes me think that there can be "Hoosier" like teams that could win the state tournament.

Just coming back from last night's classic; it was amazing hockey; amazed how how old I am and how great they are. There was DI all over that ice yesterday. I swear there were 15 DI kids out there last night.

The Edina unis are historic, classic... you can not defeat them. Some of the best unis ever.
