A quick factoid for the Parise followers.

Because since he's in Albany, you're probably following from afar. :-)

Anyhoo ... in terms of 5on5 play, and the EV+ and EV- of the opposition and teammates. Two things:

Only two forwards have played softer minutes (Pascal Rheaume and whoever wore #24 before Gionta arrived).

No forward has had a better quality of linemate. By this measure.

But... there must be some mistake! Surely Parise was on the shutdown line while simultaneously being the go to offensive guy. I hear he's also a world class trombone player and cures lepricy.

That's right....and I hear he's also really really nice to old ladies, lost dogs and little kids (and not in a Michael Jackson kinda way).
